Rolex Day Date question

I recently got into purchasing my first Rolex and now doing all this research and showing admiration for Rolex I had a very curious question about the Day Date model.

I noticed that there are some Day Date models with the days that are displayed in other languages when purchased in different countries however I was wondering if the day date model from South Korea has the day indicator in Korean. If they do have a model in Korean I am very interested in purchasing it. I would even go as far as flying directly to South Korea to purchase one. However after much research I can’t seem to find any information on this topic.

Does anybody know?

You should be able to talk to your sales rep at the AD to order one in the language of your preference directly from Rolex.

There are over 20 different languages that the Day-Date day wheels come in and they are all interchangeable on like movements.

Sourcing a day wheel and replacing it may be easier than finding a watch in the language you want..... unless you go to that country/market area.

Oh I didn’t realize that switching out the day wheel was an option lol. I thought it would void the warranty somehow.

Does anybody know if Rolex makes / offers a Korean day wheel? I can’t seem to find this info anywhere online.

I searched, but couldn't find, for a photo of the different day wheels. Can someone post a scan of the catalog page, perhaps? Thanks!

Surprised there is no Korean. Huge market for luxury goods.

There's 26 languages for the 3155 (DD 36mm), as well as for the previous 3055, but there's only 13 languages for the 3156 (DD II 41mm) : English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Arabic, Portuguese, Chinese, Dutch, Russian, Greek, Catalan.

There's also different colors for the day wheel, and depending on that color , the list of languages can be reduced.

For the new 3255 I don't have the information.

Wow - the DD2 was short-changed by 13 languages!

Agree probably better to source the date wheel you rather than trying to find the watch with it

Usually you will find them in the country where that language is spoken. This is my German Day-Date bought at the Wempe in Frankfurt. There are jewelers that can also sell you the day wheel. There are several shops on 47th St. Manhattan that can get you whatever language you need. The problem is getting one with the right font.
