Nothing Compares To . . .

my three-month old Everose/stainless steel Datejust 41. I own ten watches, including models from Panerai, Blancpain, Cartier, Hublot, etc., and ever since purchasing my new Datejust 41, it is the only watch I want to wear. Occasionally, I'll put on one of my other watches, but before the day is out I always miss wearing this Datejust and back on it will go. Am I still in the "honeymoon phase", or have I found my one true love? And -- any advice as to how to deal with all my other watches revolving aimlessly on their watch winders?

good problem to have. If you don't need the cash or other watches just keep your other watches. If you don't care for any of them, sell or trade.

Congrats on the DJ41, it's a fantastic piece, and It's not the first time i've heard someone say they have no desire to wear anything else.

Congratulations on the DJ! For me, If i'm not wanting to wear a piece, its time to sell and move on... potentially to fund something else that I am interested in!

It sounds like you are still in the honeymoon phase. Give it some time before changing your collection.

I have a Breitling SeaWolf Avenger that was my first “nice” watch and since getting into rolexes I’ve worn it maybe 4x. My DJ41 WG rhodium jubilee and GMT2 are my go to dailies.

How long have you had the DJ? That can make a huge difference. Honestly, your language sounds like you're still in the honeymoon phase. Until you can be sure you're not (and you're obviously not sure, or you wouldn't be asking), don't do anything with your other watches.* Once the dust has settled, you can reevaluate the landscape and think about what to do.

*Other than take them off the winders. No need to have them running you're not wearing them. Just wind them up once a month or so, to keep the juices flowing.

Nothing Compares To . . .

I felt exact same way
Bought a blue dial dj41 om oyster with flat bezel

Honestly felt i would wear it for a week, but that became two weeks straight

And ever since i wear my dj41 two days and sub one day

The profile of the dj41 is a sweet spot, i like how flat it sits but still it has a great presence

Oops...missed the three-month old part.

I'd say give it at least six months, maybe longer. Basically, if you have to ask, you're not sure.

We need a pic! Curious what dial is on the watch - slate? sundust? chocolate?

To answer your question - yes you've found your true love watch...until you find your next true love!

I truly appreciate all my "well wishers". Per your requests, here is a photo of my new "fav" I took earlier today. Unfortunately, I'm still learning how to take a photo which looks decent when I attach it to my posting. It's hard to see that the gold is a beautiful Everose. :(
