Trade It All In?
I brought 21 watches of Rolex, Omega, Breitling, and Tag Heuer calibre to the local AD to have them examine them and make me an offer to buy them. While there I looked at a several watches to take away the pain of loss. What do you think? Which one? So far I'm thinking yellow or white gold. Pt would be a stretch. Any thoughts?

Those DDs are 36mm, so unless you have a small wrist, I would go with the blue sub PM. Further, I think the WG sub is more versatile, unless you are a banker who wears suits each day.

No, both DDs are 40mm. The sub is thicker.

I vote Daydate. I like WG but if you’re willing to stretch, the platinum would be amazing. Although if I were buying a platinum Rolex, it’d be the Platona.

Ok I would not trade to the AD. I would sell here on Trf. Fair price will sell fast.
Then you can keep half of your watches and still buy the WG Sub or the DD 40 You can tel it’s a 40 because the tag say 228238 I was thinking about selling mine as well and getting the Platinum DD batons But I’m really digging the RG Daytona so... to be continued.... Are you adverse to selling them privately?

Don't know what you are trading, but if the $ makes sense, that platinum DD is the one.

I'd negotiate a killer deal for a precious metal piece to even consider trading in...

The AD is going to crush you on that deal. I would connect with a trusted seller, you will fair much better in the deal. You can take the funds and buy whatever you please from the AD.

Last time I spoke with a TS earlier this year, I was offered $3K for a blue WG Rolesor DJII. No one is going to crush me, fwiw.

That platinum day date is my grail. If I were in your shoes, that would be the one for me. Good luck!

platinum is great, but i wouldn't do it if it was your one and only watch. variety is the spice
of life, so i would go with either a 36 or 40 mm yellow gold day-date and a stainless sports model. my $.02 |

The WG Smurf is spectacular. I love the tone and heft of the Pt DD but haven’t seen a dial configuration that WOWs me yet.

Will you still have some watches left? If so, I’d go DD in whichever combo floats your boat. If you are keeping your sea dweller, I’d probably pass on the sub.

Money no object and only one watch for me? That Platinum DD is the win.

Lee, does this trade in also include your SkyD and newer 6 digit references? Or are there some from the current collection you will be holding on to???
