Yeah, that’s why I asked for the details on how she scored it. It’s pretty important to the story, to us Rolex nerds.

haha. but there is no secret, it's all about money. either you spend your money to build AD relationship or pay premium to get it from a grey dealer.

Lol at "in 2018"

Something either fits or it doesn't.

One can wear something that doesn't fit, but it will look ridiculous.

I think it looks awesome. My wife is wearing my hulk today as well. She has always liked big watches. She is not into the smaller lady datejust. I just ordered her the chnr for her collection. I hope she shares. But I have caught her wearing all of my
Watches she has learned to use the clasp adjustments. Haha. At the end of the day my watch is your watch right ??? Although you would never catch me wearing anything from her prized bag collection

Hey guys sorry for the late reply, i've just been a bit busy.

So the back story!
Long story short my gf's Father and I are both watch collectors, and over the years the bug bit her too, naturally.
And even though she has had a few nice watches, it wasn't enough to have a solid relationship with an AD. Her father on the other hand has a pretty good long relationship with their HK AD. So based on that they agreed to put her on the waitlist.

They put her name down saying they would do their best, but that the approximate wait time would be until the first quarter of 2019.

Around 5 months go by and she gets a call from the AD, asking her to drop by for a 'small' Christmas gift they had arranged for her.
She thought it was probably Rolex goodies of sorts. Upon her entering the store the salesman welcomed her and told her to have a seat for a minute. A few moments later he came back with a box saying "merry Christmas".

It turns out another costumer on the waitlist just wasn't interested in the watch anymore and so they gave it to my gf instead!

Back story aside, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for congratulating her on the purchase and supporting her decision. All the positive energy fuels her passion even more . This is her first Rolex and despite some members stating that the watch might be a mans watch/ too big for her, I'm proud of her for not jumping straight on the typical Lady DJ wagon, but rather taking the time to research and understand the history, passion, and ingenuity that goes into these pieces, and for making her decision based on that.

Oh and yes! I will be stealing it from her from time to time

Hope your all having a great Sunday!
Happy holidays

Congrats to her and to you if you can use the glidelock to make it big enough for you to borrow!

Regardless I think the Sub looks great on her. My wife wears mine sometime when we are on vacation!
