FSOT: IWC Big Pilot 5002-01 Slow Beat - NYC
For sale is an IWC Big Pilot 5002-01 (Slow Beat) featuring the in-house caliber 5000 series - 18,000 VpH / 2.5hz.
Includes the original large presentation box, 5002 instruction manual, polishing cloth, warranty booklet, and warranty card as shown, dated 2003. Overall condition is very good, but the watch could use a proper polish and could benefit from a servicing, but is great for a "daily beater" and functions perfectly fine as-is. The IWC Pilot strap is in overall great shape with lots of life left. Taking a look at the timegrapher, it is keeping absolutely excellent time and has a very strong amplitude. It holds the power reserve for the full 7+ days and the date changes exactly at the 12'oclock. The only issue is the crown is a little "sticky" when pulling out to set the date/time. There is no issue in theory and it is correctly wound by both wrist movement and winding. But the "stickyness" when setting the time is the ONLY reason why I say the watch can benefit from a service. This is not an immediate requirement by any means. It has been serviced before, but I have no proper documentation. Asking a very reasonable $6,990 shipped via wire (2 day Fedex) FIRM for a quick deal. Will consider trades, but prefer a straight sale. Trade value will be higher. Thanks for looking! |
