I’m buying a 126334 Datejust II with blue index and fluted white gold. I can’t decide whether to get it with oyster or jubilee. Btw, this watch is stainless steel. What say you?

Oyster is more sporty ... Jubillee is more formal.

With the fluted bezel, it suits the jubilee, they kinda "go together" really well in my opinion.

Hmmmm ...50/50 .Oyster with polished centrelinks suits the fluted bezel.Jubilee more prone to stretch with wear .

Male : Oyster by 51/49
Female :Jubilee

That is the eternal question, and endless debated here. While traditionalists prefer the jubilee/fluted and the smooth/oyster combos, I think the smooth/fluted and fluted/oyster are very nice as well, kind of like a notch between the traditional dress or sporty categories in the DJ.

It all comes down to what niche you're looking for this watch to fill for you. My advice, think about that and you will know what the answer is.

I think the fluted with oyster works well, the PCLs give the oyster a bit more of a refined look than the brushed oyster and I think it suits the fluted bezel. I am not a fan of jubilees in general though, a little too flashy for my personal taste.

For my taste, Jubilee all the way.

It's very comfortable, on top of looking fantastic.

The Oyster doesn't do it for me, it's OK on a sub or GMT, but not on the dressier models.

I leaning toward Jubilee so I can wear it for formal occasion. I have a submariner that I wear on weekends and an Omega and Tag for everyday wear.

Initially I was 100% on jubilee/fluted combo...but as of late, really liking the oyster/fluted combo. Nice balance on the dressy/sporty front as I think jubilee is really dressy.

Overall I prefer the oyster bracelet on SS models, that said... the fluted bezel may be a better match for a jubilee bracelet. I don't like what they did with the Pepsi GMTII's jubilee bracelet and an oyster clasp. It looks a little frankenwatch to me. I'm sure it was done to differentiate the WG from SS model, but don't like it on that model.

I think the fluted bezel and oyster bracelet is a great combo. Plus you get the quick link 5mm on the fly adjustment, which actually works real well once it’s sized correctly.

Get the watch with whichever and add the other bracelet. For an extra $1500ish you can effectively have two watches.

Mine is original with jubilee but I bought recently at my AD a separate/additional oyster bracelet.
Jubilee > more comfortable
Oyster > more sporty
Fluted with jubilee or oyster with smooth bezel or reverse > IMHO : a fairy tale, it is only about personal preference.
(look at the Skydweller> fluted and only on oyster ;)

I used to subscribe to jubilee/fluted or oyster/smooth, but I have opened my mind and I like different combos now.

That being said, if I was getting a DJ, I would very likely still go with the traditional jubilee/fluted.

There are no rules though.

I am not a fan of jubilees in general though, a little too flashy for my personal taste.
