AD Used Rolex Listings
It seems two Chicago area dealers no longer list their used Rolex on-liine. They are in Western and Northwestern burbs. I used to follow their sites pretty regularly for their used product. Any guess why they took down their listings?

Why don't you mention the names? Is it against Forum rules?

Oh no...the used market inventory is disappearing too. How will we ever buy Rolexes?

maybe because it looks bad and people connect the dots that may or may not be there as far as how they ended up in "used" inventory.
Probably sell them just fine in the store, but listing them on the internet and people who wouldn't buy them anyway see it and have a fit since they are also an AD. I wouldn't list pre owned online if i was an AD, because of the optics.

I suspect Rolex doesn't differentiate between used and grey sales. They're both seen as competition to new watch sales.

The same company that has no problem selling a million watches annually and artificially limits supply to drive up prices on the secondary market?

There are quite a few AD's that list pre-owned. Of the top of my head, Tourneau which is a big one albeit pretty maligned.

Really, you think that's the case? I don't believe they care about the secondary market on than seeing it go away.

Lots of ADs in the I’m are listing second hand watches. They have clocked on to the prices of grey dealers and charging the same if not more at times.
