Either metal laptop or keyboard or from your desk. Perhaps surprisingly even wood desks will mark your finish on your clasps.

Chad M, Thank you for posting those pics. At least I now know where they came. The isolated area of the scuffs is what had me scratching my head.

I have a wrist pad for my keyboard and mouse and I’m on my computer for over 10 hours a day and have never gotten any scratches on my clasp
