According to this 2019 will be the 50th anniversary of the Ranger. Not really sure what if anything comes of that. Other than the (to me) horrific straight bar end links, still pretty much the same watch. Just found this curious.

Maybe. Give it the BB58 movement so it’s nice and thin, maybe take off a mm or two, fit end links and that could be a fun refresh.
