Normally sane and rational members will absolutely lose their siht over trivial things. They will post things that make you believe their account has been hijacked. Arguments will ensue and be more impassioned than normal.

Others will swear they're about to receive the latest hotness through a close personal connection to an AD.

Happy aficionados will say "Rolex nailed it. They're the new Patek Philipe."
Unhappy folks will say "Rolex is done. They're the new Timex."

This should be entertaining. It will be my first year observing the madness as a TRF member.

I ever since I got into watches several years ago I have a tradition of going to see my AD on Basel reveal day, part of the hype and probably driven too it from the posts. And the sales people at AD does not even realize that Basel is going on you have to tell them

I use to ask about getting on the list know I go as a goodwill mission to inform the AD what was released, try it you will see the truth

If there is a new release, there will be threads on what nickname to give it also.
Yep - "I just texted my AD and I'm first on the list"... and then those desperate to come up with a nickname... All good fun of course
