So... went to Australia with the girl and went to a couple Rolex stores. Zero selection and I mean zero. Sad really. But they had a new SJ36 is blue with jubilee and my girl took a look at it. She far prefers the hidden clasp she has and the roulette wheel. The previous model also feels a little more substantial... not saying one is better than the other but both have benefits. The hidden clasp makes the watch feel and look far more upscale.

The newer model does have a slimmed down case, so when you say the older model feels more substantial, it actually is.

You bought a great model, the roulette date wheel and hidden clasp are already sought after, and will be for some time. Plus it looks great, and pairs well with your DJ41.

Solely in my opinion the previous model is more unisex and the new DJ36 feels much more feminine. All beautiful though but as I said the selection is terrible in Brisbane right now. I went to their only 2 AD’s and there was not one watch I could buy myself on site.

The employee at the AD had on a 35 year old DD president that’s only been serviced one time a couple years ago. Immaculate watch. This told me 2 things... all movements seem quality and the Rolex is so timeless. I have always respected people that care for their possessions and was pleased to see his watch.
