Indulge me on this one please...

The 34mm Air King is iconic. It has a wonderful history and exudes pure class just like the Submariners and GMTs of old. But, Hey we all know that 34mm is considered waaaay to tiny for manly wrists these days. I think maybe not. It just takes getting used to like most things in life. And there are great deals to be had on these Air Kings.

Would appreciate getting thoughts and opinions of those Air King owners and wearers. Pics would be great!

Love my 34mm air-king. It's so comfortable because of the small case and it wears large on my wrist. Excellent value buy, I'm so happy I bought it a few years ago when I was in Milan. The 34mm air-king is not in production anymore by the way.

I think Rolex hit a home run with this. Quirky dial, that has had Rolex fans in uproar but, its a rare departure for Rolex into a fun piece with a dash of color and, that unconventional dial config. I think it’ll be a sleeper and gain a cult following at some point.

OP, have I read your thread wrong or are you saying its a 34? Its a 40.

I like the new one but 34mm is too small for a modern daily. 36mm works, but I see that as the minimum

That definitely depends on wrist size. I have small wrists and my 34mm air-king fits perfect and looks amazingly proportional.

I can't post pics yet as a new member but my wife bought me a new Air King for our anniversary. It's my first Rolex and I used to not be a "Rolex guy." But something spoke to me with this watch. Maybe because even some Rolex owners don't even know what it is. I'm loving 39-40mm watched lately and this feels great. This and my Damasko dominate wrist time at the moment.

For me, the Air King to have is the new 40mm 116900 model with the quirky dial. Let’s just say that Rolex “digs” deep on this to make a watch that is so UnRolex — Green/Yellow combo, the 3-6-9 non lumed hour marker (believed to be leftover from the Exp 1 MK1 model), plus the Faraday cage (believed to be an old stunt pulled from the Milgauss), etc. But hey, I love every piece of it. Hehe TGIF!

My most precious and irreplaceable Rolex, it belonged to my dad. It is an X-serial(1991) that he bought January 6, 1995 while on vacation in Cancun. He gave it to me in January 2003 because he never wore it. He felt it was too big for him. He loved my 33mm Omega Constellation gray dial SS that I loaned him while his daily 18k/SS 33mm Constellation was off to service for a few weeks. So, I told him to keep my Omega knowing how much he loved it. He laughed and said not a fair trade but went his watchbox and handed me the Air King. I was 40 years old and had just gotten my first Rolex! And even better, it was my dad's.

Don't worry about what people say about the size, get what you love and enjoy it. I am not a small guy yet nobody ridicules me for wearing a 34mm watch. My dad has since passed on and both of his 33mm Constellations are in my rotation. Again, nobody has made fun of me for wearing a "smaller" watch.
