This has been a tough decision... But I made it.

It has cost me countless hours of sleep... Numerous brain cells in difficult concentration (and trust me, I don’t have a lot to spare ). But... I finally have made the decision. Yes... finally, I... have decided....

What my grail watch is.

This was not easy! It was down to a DayDate 40, and a WG (new movement) Pepsi GMT. Both, are iconic Rolex watches. Both are the epitome of owning a classic-fine timepiece (at least IMHO) but the question is: Which one? Do I do for the sporty(er) GMT? Or the (probably) more recognizable DD? Trust me, this was NOT an easy decision to make! Well... I finally did. See below for my choice and final selection. Now I can get some sleep at night.

(Of course, I just have to come up with $35K to actually BUY it... Is there a gray market trade-in value for organs? ).

Can you post your pros and cons for each watch? I’m just curious to know what helped you make your decision

Have you tried one on?!? That’s critical in my experience. Photos are no substitute.

That’s suits you Paul, especially since you were a navy pilot. What a great choice:

I like it better then the SS version. I don’t understand the jubilee bracelet on a sports model

That's a heavy-hittin' watch there, Paul. I hope your portfolios are looking healthy these days. Best of luck with your hunt.

Paul, Are you trying to ask that girl out again ?

If not I'd go with the original WG Pepsi with the black dial. DavidSW will probably make you a sweat deal on one ....

In this case you are lucky to be single. Just think what the wife would say about a 35K watch? She would likely want a Birkin hand bag first! LOL

Nice, I love it. Post a kidney on the FS section and you’ll have this in no time:)

It would be a great fit for you!
