Jeweler selling fake Rolex as BNIB genuine

So I just drove past a jeweler with a Rolex sign in the window and of course had to walk by and check inventory. He has all the hard to find pieces and is selling Daytona for 27k. He says they are new with box and papers. The second I picked it up I knew it was fake. Clasp was off weight was off bracelet was scratched to hell and very cheap. He even had a ceramic coke gmt which he states is discontinued (obviously this has never been made). I asked for more info but he said to come back when his brother is around.

This is a very very shady jeweler. Is there a way to report this so that no one gets screwed by this guy?

Name and shame here will protect the members here.

But you can also report the store to Rolex. I think this is their phone number ...

+14169681100

They will ask you how you know ... Say you are a Rolex addict and you are on this forum.

Grey/Used dealers ? Unscrew the caseback to authenticate the movement and simply screw back .Maybe they even claim to have a watchmaker .

Pressure test ? I doubt if they bother or even if they do ,do it right .How would you as a buyer know anyway ?

So,you buy your sportie at highly inflated prices, with stickers on, but it has been opened by non-Rolex trained people ?

Buy new from the AD

The name of the place is Ricky Jewelry Sayville, NY. Avoid at all costs

This is no different than people selling fake on eBay or craigslist or anywhere else. It’s just another avenue. You can’t stop them. People need to use their head when they’re spending thousands on a watch.

Online you need to be more aware and mostly there is a review procedure in place. Actual brick & morter jewelry with a Rolex sign outsides selling fakes for €27k is a real shocker.

A Yelp review from 2018:

Quote:
They sell the fakest watches and Jewlery I've ever seen. I just went in there looking at some pieces and he was asking way to much for fake pieces. All of the rolexs he sells are so bad the weight is wrong the size is wrong and models that Rolex never had. I do nottt recommend this place to anyone. He should be shut down.
So, you aren't the only one who noticed, but I'm surprised there's only one such review, if it's really that bad.
