Value of Gold and Rolex Price Increases

I have noticed certain correlation. Rolex held off price increases for a few years now as Gold made its way down below 1200 an ounce.

Now we see it firmly above 1400, and I am thinking that a Rolex price increase is finally at hand.

If they do imo it would mostly be to juice the grey market price of SS.

The last thing Rolex wants is the optics of barren SS shelves at the AD at the same time the SA leads you over to the PM models and says "enjoy the price increase, but you can walk out with it on your wrist today. Isnt that lovely?
Mastercard or Visa?"

Rolex is smart. They will wait until the Submariner gets updated. Then they will jam a $ increase across the board. So they can jump the SS grey market premium.

Why?

Spot gold fluctuates daily, Rolex buys gold and likely hedges their purchases. Also the amount of gold in a watch is a mere fraction of the cost.

Could they raise prices? Yes but they already cannot supply stainless steel no point in driving people further from precious metals.

Profit margins are plenty healthy on full gold and platinum pieces. No doubt.

I bet Rolex has its whole basement full of gold. They’re likely unconcerned with short term fluctuations

Not sure if there is a correlation between golf prices and Rolex prices. But man... who knows!?!

Gold has four letters, Rolex has five, and silver has six. Silver is the next new investment!
