Which One

I currently have a 116610LV and a 114060. The Hulk is staying (without question) but I am in line for the SD43. I have been told 1 month before it arrives. I like the 114060 and the question is, do I stay put or take the SD43 and sell the 114060. Keeping both the SD43 and 114060 is not an option. I guess the question is whether getting the SD43 at retail is enough to displace the 114060. I have the wrist for the SD43, but when I tried on the DSSD I felt it was way too thick (height).

Why don't you just wait until you actually have the SD43 and see how it goes...

No question, hands down, the SD43. If I had the wrist for it, that watch would be my daily.
Sell the 114060

The SD43 sits and fits much different (better) than the DSSD

Do you feel a lacking sensation without the date complication while wearing the Sub?

Definitely. There have been many times where I glanced at my watch for the date but it wasn’t there. The 114060 is first non-date piece I have owned

I can check with my rep. She offered me the SD43 last week and I passed on it. I'm sure she moved it, it's a relatively hot piece, but you never know.

You know, the no-date sub is on my list but I also feel the sub date is what I would chose. I like the SD's but to me there are other watches I would want more... like what you have. What color SD? If it's blue I would probably take the blue and sell the sub.

I have the SD43 and, in a word, its an epic piece. Its perfect for my wrist which is around 7 3/4. You won’t regret trading for this watch from a 40mm sub if you have the wrist size for it.

Thank you for the input! Strangely enough I worry that after getting used to the SD43, when I wear the 116610LV it will feel tiny in comparison. Maybe I am overthinking this haha

I have both watches and rotate them. The LV won’t feel that much smaller, in fact I don’t feel much difference. The sd43 is so balanced with the heavier bracelet that it does not feel heavy.

IMO the SD 43 is closer to the LVC than the Submariner

OP, I love the SD43 and think it’s perhaps the perfect Rolex diver, but since you said the LVC isnt going anywhere, I’d chose the Submariner, which is my second favourite Rolex diver.

You are not overthinking, you’re thinking exactly right the LV will feel smaller if you wear the SD43 often but I actually like the variety. The days you want to be baller you’ll wear the SD43 because the presence is oh so good and other days you’ll enjoy the tailored LV.
