Yes, I would hope your AD would be kind when you drop that kind off $$$. Congrats!

Thanks. We have a long standing relationship. While I was waiting he managed to get me two hard to come by Daytonas and put me at the top of the list for the three I just received. In this environment I "need" him more than he needs me so I am appreciative. Thankfully he takes care of me (and I am loyal to him) through the ebbs and flows of demand cycles.

It's their family business and I respect that.

What was your relationship with the AD before he got you those pieces? Did you have significant purchase history?

Wow big congrats! I’ve tried on all of them and I own the SD. I have to say, they’re all fantastic.

I have been purchasing watches and jewelry from the AD for 20+ years. We are now friends beyond his store. Fortunately that has allowed me to get numerous steel and other hard to get items. I am lucky and tough to replicate.

I also made a point of supporting them with purchases and word of mouth in 2008 during the financial crisis. Bunch of friends bought engagement rings etc...

That’s how you do it right there. Glad to hear such relationships are alive and well.

I’m confused. 4 metals? Isn’t this SS, rose gold and yellow gold? Is there a platinum or white gold bezel or something?

I like to make sure I understand the math!

Oh, and enjoy the new choices.

The salesman said the YM was something different. I hope he didn't mean the rubber?

Ah, I thought the YM looked like RG in the picture, but more in depth research reveals that it's WG. Your salesman's math impeccable!

It’s cool that you got that I’ve been considering that one myself, I just haven’t had a chance to try it on yet. I think the same thing, very unique amongst the collection.
