Need opinions: Tudor Sub

What do you all think of is, and what's a fair price for a 94010 with B&P?

Previous owner does say it could use a service and it has been polished before; I just want to make sure that everyone is period-correct.

Thanks in advance!

It has most definitely had more than one polish in its life

Is that enough for it to be a no-go for you?

My opinion

The bottom lugs have a lot of "gap" with them and the bracelet end links. Compare them with the top ones? May just be the link. This has had work but is nice

Yeah its had more than its fair share of wheel time...all the edges are pretty much rounded off. Getting harder and harder to find blue nondate subs, but this one might need some laser welding.

Spoke to Beau at LAWW, and he said this is a solid example that could be resurrected to great condition, which I'm ok with.

Any thoughts on a decent price? These seem to be hard to find on the market (I'm not looking for investment-type answers - this would be a daily. I just don't want to spend thousands over what it's worth)

What did Beau think of the lower lugs and the gap on the end link? They give you an estimate on recutting?

I've seen cleaner black models sit for bit around $5k and they go quick around $4k.

"Hey Jessie, overall it looks pretty damn nice. Case is an excellent candidate for restoration, it’s soft but still very thick which is what’s important. Other than a service and maybe relume the degrading hands with period correct tritium, I think it’s good to go."

That's from Beau via email. I spoke to him over the phone generally about casework / laser welding, and he said something along the lines of $600-1000, which I'm good with.

I do see black models around for the price you stated, but it's these blues that are hard to gauge!

Yeah thats the tough part to gauge how much of a premium do you want to factor in for the blue...5% 15% etc What are they asking for the watch?

It just sold on the 'bay for $6,700, which is above what I was looking to spend ($6k).

$700 might not seem like a big difference, but considering I was looking into another $1k of work, it didn't seem worth it to me.
