I found the current model explorer wears a bit strangely and the proportions felt off. The sub didn't give me that impression at all

I am also looking at both watches currently. I think it comes down to which one do you think you will be happy to own in 10 years. The price difference is a current thing and not a lot of money over the course of long term ownership.
