It looks like patina from years of use. I think it looks great.

Try to give it a polish. Perhaps all the mirco-scratches has given it a ‘matte’ look. Once it’s polished, the originally luster will return. I know when I had my wedding ring polished, it shined and the color came back to life

Somebody find that thread about the 2 tone DJ that changed color due to the chlorine in a hot tub.

I recently was at a reseller after reading this thread and compared a modern yellow gold TT datejust, a 2003 rose gold TT TOG, and modern everose YM. The everose is definitely darker and looks more coppery (like a Michael Kors watch tbh), while the pre-everose TOG was really more like a pink gold, and to me seems much more like "gold". It is immediately recognizable as "rose gold" compared to yellow gold, but to an average person I bet would seems like yellow gold if solely compared to everose. I wish I had thought to take a pic....

There is a song about this thread, it starts a little something like this:

Was it something I said or something I did
Did the words not come out right
Though I tried not to hurt you
Though I tried
But I guess that's why they say
Every ROSE has its thorn

I remember reading a thread on here about wearing rose gold in the pool / hot tub. It WILL fade the rose color. Its strongly advised to keep everose watches and chlorine separated.

It’s the lighting. Or perhaps time to get glasses. JOking.

But seriously, I think it is the lighting and perhaps the dullness of the luster. Rolex gold is pretty formidable just like their SS. All gold can dull over time but that’s nothing a smart service polish can’t luster up if that’s the look your prefer.

Here is the thread. It apperas that if you take your yellow gold watch in the hot tub it turns to rose gold and if you take your rose gold into the tub it turns to yellow gold

To me it looks like a very scratchy rose gold. No yellow at all...
