Interesting I have seen this marking as well as MN (no periods) and a 75 (no 19). Also it seems as though other years don't have the right 19...usually. wonder if any research has been done to get even more of the history based on unique markings.

Hi! To my knowledge, '75 was the only year in which the full year "1975" was engraved on the case back. Other years were only done as 2 digits.

Sharing my 79190 submariner... Sadly not acrylic, but I believe can still pass as vintage. :)

New to me 79190

Hello Chaps,
I know this isn't strictly vintage but I've noticed a couple being posted so I'll pitch in with my recently purchased '98 79190.
Been looking for another Rolex to join with my 14060,I'd narrowed it down to an Explorer or a Tudor Submariner but I always liked the last of the Tudors with the white gold indices but they seem to be few and far between.
By a stroke of luck one became available at a good price from a good seller, more than happy with the deal as it's in fine condition and keeping good time. Now sporting a NATO as my 14060 does, the bracelet seems a little flimsy compared to the Rolex, is that the case?

The favorite among my three Tudors that I designate as daily wearers (Rolexes are mostly safe queens). Not as much charisma as the chronos, but much easier to read. The most accurate and consistent of my five watches. Movement overhauled and Michael Young refurb on 9315 bracelet earlier this year.

My new 7021. The case is strong. Still trying to decide if I want to replace the bezel with something less faded.

Not that vintage, but this is my 79090 from 1989 I got a few days ago. I like it a lot, it has actually left my SubC in the watch box. I never thought vintage would be my thing, but the rattle from the original folded bracelet and the warm patina on the hands/indexes just made me love it a little bit extra.
