Captainlee, you nailed it. Jealously is crazy and what I have seen on this thread really was shocking.

I’m ok with them not calling me for the next one. This is all I needed for now. Thanks again for the support.

ADs need to look at different angles. If they said I’ll sell you the Daytona but only if you buy a DJ for the wife, that would be reasonable. That’s something i would do.

They are actually great for a cold bottle of water or a re-sizing.

I agree. You agreed to a deal, and then you changed your mind and tried to swindle the other party out of the agreement.

I bought my D500 at retail from my AD, and I'm not jealous in the least. I'm happy for you that you ended up what you wanted, but don't try to convince yourself that you didn't break an agreement.

Rjrjrj, your reek of hater and jealousy. Don’t try and convince yourself that I, the AD, and the vast majority of the people on here agree I broke nothing and am well within my right to return something I don’t like that I had a second thought on. Breaking an agreement would be IF they had no return and exchange policy with it. Stop hating, you are the reason that word exists

You are correct that you are probably within your legal right. Morally is another story. People who agree with you are also salty because they can't get what they want and want to stick it to the AD. I'm also on a couple of waiting lists for something but if I never get the call I'll just move on. If I agreed to a deal and tried to back out while getting the upper hand, I'd be too embarrassed to show up to the AD to even bring it up.

Would you have returned the watch along with the diamonds if the return required both items, as per the original “deal” for purchasing them?

Rjrjrj we just agree to disagree here. You are convinced I plotted this entire thing knowingly and I have violated some kind of agreement. Unfortunately the AD, the VP at the AD, the vast majority of the people on here disagree with you. That does not mean your wrong, just because many disagree with you does not mean your wrong. The FACTS prove you are wrong and the facts worked in my favor because I was In The right. Had iciolated anything the return would not have occurred.

Would I have returned both items, I was seriously considering that which you will see in earlier posts. The the AD VP himself said that’s not necessary if I am happy with the Daytona. Which I am, so why return it

I agree that I don't think you broke any legal agreement. No point in going back and forth. I'm glad you got what you wanted, but we can agree to disagree on the method.

and enjoy your watch, and I genuinely mean that.

OP, congrats on getting what you wanted, although it was risky, you came out on top.

I noticed in your recent posts that you seem to be bragging about getting a Daytona at retail and saying people are being haters because they can’t get a Daytona at retail and laughing at them with your “lol” acronyms

You seem to think you’re COOL because you got a Daytona at retail

When someone says they got a Daytona at retail, it packs some punch, because it implies that they have history with the AD, perhaps also that they are VIPs and big fish or whatever slang is common for that...

Let me remind you that you didn’t get a Daytona at retail.

You were forced to bundle, because you COULD NOT get a Daytona at retail, because you were NOT COOL enough.

Then, you manipulated the situation, and ended up coming out on top with a Daytona at retail.

That is VERY VERY different from getting the call and paying retail without bundling and without begging for the watch.

So, I am sure members on this thread aren’t hating.

Anyone could walk into an AD and bundle for a Daytona, it happens all of the time.

I see nothing to “hate” about

(I’m not sure if I’m using that word correctly)

Congrats, but stop trying to show off.

It’s kinda weird to do that after you were worried and asked the forum for advice

Hahaha

Just wondering. I agree with the others on here in that it was clearly a package deal, so was interested in your thoughts if they made the return a package deal as well. But they let you return the diamonds alone, so, nice job in getting a Daytona.

I’m pro-AD in every way possible. I’m the guy who is willing to pay more to buy from an AD. I rarely if ever go gray. My ADs have never ever made me bundle. In fact we have talked about it at length how other ADs do this. Perhaps the reason is that I already spend money at their establishments so I’m already “taking my medicine”. That being said if I was provided with that ultimatum I would be less than thrilled. I would try and make it work by purchasing something for the wife that I’d enjoy giving to her. I suppose if the terms were too outlandish I’d just walk.

I know I said I was done posting but reading is fundamental. In the OP referenced diamond jewelry not raw diamonds. What is the point of posting pics of returned merchandise? Why take pics of something he was forced to buy and no longer intended to keep...this forum is not TDJF.

All you wanna be detectives who stayed in a Holiday Inn last night give it a rest and read whole thread before casting dispersions on OP!

This place has lost its way and I have never been more disappointed in a forum I used to love IMO! I will keep my word regarding this thread going forward.

AD sold me a Daytona ceramic BUT made me buy 10k in diamond too, help?

Loose diamonds. Diamond jewelry. This forum has always said: pics or it didn’t happen.

That’s actually why I did not agree to my ADs bundle offer. What you mentioned is possible.

What is also possible is that the SA knows this customer caves to bundling requests...

It really could go either way.
