This is the Rolex 16628 Yacht Master in 18K Yellow gold. Serial number begins with "F" so mfg date in 2004-2005 timeframe. No rehaut engraving yet. It began with "Z" serial numbers on the 16628, 2006-2007. Movement is the caliber 3135. Yacht master 16628 in 18K gold (YM I) no longer produced after 2011. Only solid gold YM was the new YM II. Tim from WatchBox gives a very good review of the 16628 on youtube.

Love them all but the Rhodium has my heart. People will definitely be turning around 10 years from now saying "HOW did we miss this one?".

Agreed. Computer images never do it justice.

This thread is not helping me resist the urge to trade my GMT and get a YM.

Indeed, that’s exactly what happened with me, didn’t even know this model existed. And yes love that rhodium and its stunning monochromatic look

Both amazing watches but I was in a very similar situation when comparing the sub and gmt with this, the yacht-master won, classy, comfortable, sleek, slim

Interesting; why did you went back from 116622 blue to a 16622 platinum dial?

It may be due to the long standing relationship that Rolex has with offshore racing. Perhaps they wanted to solidify this in a more tangible way.

How many members are now lusting over a Yacht-Master after looking at these? I certainly am.

Any one wear their YM on a nato? if so, care to share.
I am seriously considering picking up a Rhodium one as a summer watch but would ideally wear it on rubber or nato.

Wow! All of those are nice, but I love the blue dial with that blue leather band!
