To be honest I really don't like the way modern 1/2 ton trucks are becoming high tech commuter computers with small engines reliant on tech gimmickry to generate HP and capable of occasionally serving the role of "truck". When I consider new trucks nowadays I tend to look at the 3/4 and one ton offerings as they still seem legitimate trucks in the old sense.
I guess I'm a dinosaur just like my fuel.

Not exactly a milestone number but….for my 23k post….surprising I know
A new Ferrari opportunity came up….THIS ONE COST ME ….

As with watches, I will every so often consolidate vehicles to get something next level.

A very special car….Newly acquired 488 Pista.
Always wanted a giallo Ferrari. I’ve tried in the past to make a couple deals on a yellow Fcar, unfortunately it never panned out.
Had an opportunity come my way for a very special Ferrari. Someone alerted me of this vehicle, THEN I SAW THE SPEC…I basically (other than doing my due diligence) jumped at this chance as soon as I laid eyes on it. Cost me dearly.. 2 Fcars for 1 trade, but this one is worth it ! (IMO). This could be in the garage forever.

Already congratulated you once but I’ll do it again. Congrats! The pista is my favorite modern Ferrari (and the tdf). Awesome spec on an awesome car!

Wow, what a beauty! I'm a big fan of consolidating for something super special (not that your other Ferraris weren't special.....). Great move and absolutely beautiful!

Richard, how do those transmission buttons work? I assume R is reverse, Auto is drive. Is PS power saving? Power shifting?

Just prepping for my inevitable lottery win.

Lol…. Yes on the first two. The auto just puts it in automatic mode or like you said, drive mode, no shifting with the paddles. The PS is for the launch control feature .…Partenza Sportiva, meaning sport departure in Italian.

I saw one just like that in Rhode Island a few weeks ago, although in a different color. Dang, one of the most beautiful cars I've seen in a long time.

Congratulations!

Think I saw you post this on Fchat but huge congrats! This is such a gorgeous spec, it looks killer with the silver wheels. Is it opaco (matte) paint, or a satin wrap?

I did post there, thank you ! It’s a satin/stealth wrap, which I’d actually rather have than the actual matte paint. If I ever want to take it off, I love the shiny/glossy giallo just as much, and I believe less upkeep than a matte finish.

Richard! What a mighty jump you did. Well done! This is a very very special car. I am so happy for you! What a beautiful spec, this is stunning! Give us some updates on how you notice the difference between the F8 and 458!!

Thank you my friend! The golf cart is fairly new, 6/7 months old. Street legal, L-ion batteries that go around 26-28 miles , runs about 28-30mph

Thank you Nicholas! So far….more raw/visceral vs the F8 and no noticeable power difference from the driving I’ve done so far (twisty/fun roads, no track). Feels like driving a well handling go-cart! It just does what you ask of it. You definitely know you’re in a track oriented iteration vs the F8 or standard 488.

VS the 458…the drama feels about the same, your engagement is required just the same, the extra HP is noticeable. I’d say certainly more track oriented (as was intended) than the 458.
I will say…in auto mode, just cruising down the road on a long road or in town, it’s a very useable, comfortable (if you’re good with racing buckets) ride. Other than long trips…say 9-10 hrs at a time… I’d use it for most anything
