That way, there aren't watches hanging around, possibly going for below RRP when a punter in another country is desperate to get his/her hands on one. There does seem to be a significant geographical variation in demand. For example in the USA, you used to get your name on the list for the SS Odysseus with a >$50K purchase. In Australia its 2 pieces of >$80K for example. We've been told that there may be only one platinum datograph available for 2021. That's crazy for ALS if they are sitting unsold in AD windows in Hong Kong for example.
I can't believe how popular ALS has become in Australia. L1's aren't first purchases anymore... curious how much of a spend is now required to be considered for an Odysseus in SS?

New ALS release Monday. They wouldn't give me any hints while at watchtime NYC last night.

New version of the time-only Zeitwerk with a 72h power reserve. Available in platinum and pink gold.

The pink gold case with black dial looks very nice IMO. A bit more refined compared to its white gold case predecessor.

As soon as they release a 42mm or under Striking Time, I’m in. I love the Zeitwerk, it’s just too big for me.

Someone posted elsewhere that it's 101k for the Rose Gold and $112k for the Platinum. I haven’t confirmed that but if it’s true I find that to be extremely overpriced. I love the Zeitwerk but at that price point I much rather have two independents.

I tried on the 42mm zeitwork at the watchtime NYC event... Unfortunately, too big for me on my 6.6 inch wrist; it doesn't sit nicely on my wrist with the lug configuration.

Wow, really?! Those aren’t small-time purchases. Is ALS being a little too tight in regulating who gets an Odysseus, or is that in line with other brands? It is hard to compare, and it may be boutique specific, but at least you have two awesome pieces.

Ridiculous in what sense, nothing else on the market is anything like similar? Changes made by ALS over the last few years to distribution, pricing, allocation and discounting are just now starting to make the brand appreciated on the secondary market so any new purchase isn’t going to lose a fortune out of the box - has to be good for the brand long term.

Sydney has a lot of high end clients. If they're only getting 3 or 4 Odysseus per year, they are selective in who they go to.

For future reference, you can see pricing on the "Historic Data" tab at http://goo.gl/vWFC7Q.
