What are you Puffing on now?

Good evening gentlemen.
Cohiba XV from 2006.
I ended up ordering a New Air CC 300 "Refrigador" and a cigar Oasis humidifier. We will see how she works.

Please post some pics when you get her set up and running! Maybe I'll send you a little Cuban cigar sampler for your new addition....

Hi John,

Will do. Read a ton of reviews. Was a bit torn and almost went with a larger wood cabinet style. To be honest the shipping charges helped make the decision for me. Good old Amazon Prime 👍🏻. It should suit my needs for box storage. It will arrive on Wednesday. I will get her seasoned up and take some pics.

Cheers

Good evening!

The fridge arrived and is currently being seasoned. Happy with the way it was shipped and the size. Give me a couple weeks and we will see if she holds temperature and humidity.

Smoking a quick Pappas
Frittas tonight.

Awesome looking unit! Many congrats. How much will this bad boy hold? Looks really great, best of luck with it. I am anxiously waiting for a review.

Thanks Kevin. Not sure yet. A guy on Amazon got 20 boxes in his. I will probably take out at least one of the drawers and maybe both as I will keep loose sticks in my table top.
She is only up to 60% humidity so probably a few days before I get to load it up. Been busy on the Auction sites buying boxes...Good excuse to stock up. Trying to venture out to other brands but seems I keep bidding on Don Pepin/My Father cigars. Although I did bid on a jar of the pickle juice.

mark, try some Viaje cigars and Crossfire. Both are small boutique manufacturers and make some outstanding cigars. I doubt you will find many of these on the auction sites however.

The humidor should be at the right humidity very soon! Pickle juice is an interesting cigar in that it is much better than your usual candela wrapped cigar.

Have fun!

Just a tip I learned after discovering my cutting was not perfect or the cigars head was imperfect, flavorless lip balm solves any loose tobacco wrapping from peeling. I just saved several older Cuban cigars. Hope this saves someone's cigar thought to be hopeless.

Fruit Pectin also is a good product for fixing a damaged cigar wrapper.

Try an Ashton ESG. Estate Sun Grown, big robust flavor. You might like it.

What are you Puffing on now?

Happy Fathers Day Gents!

Humidor is partially loaded. Took a few days to get humidity up to 70. I have not used the Oasis yet as I did not want to drill a hole for the power cord. My run it on batteries but I am going to see if the little plastic cup with distilled water system works first.
I have 8 boxes fit inside. Mostly Churchills and Belicusos. There is a little room behind the boxes potentially for smaller boxes. The drawers and shelves are all removable and adjustable so when my next order arrives I may need to make some adjustments to fit more boxes. The bottom drawer is large enough to hold a couple boxes or a lot of loose cigars. Still debating on whether to keep my large table top for loose cigars or give it to a friend and just use this unit for everything.

Overall, very happy with it. Super quiet and holding temp and humidity well.

Couple of pics.

Oh and enjoying a Punch this morning.
