So, I'm trying to decide between a 116622 and a BLNR. I was all set on the YM, but then tried on the BLNR and liked it more than I expected. Will need to do some thinking.

I think I'm still favoring the YM.

Go with the ym blue its a gorgeous watch and rather unique, you can pick up one of the ceramic sub/gmts later.

i'd go with the YM.. GMT is nice though sportier- YM is best of both worlds- to me the new bezel on the gmt may not work for a formal event.. both watches are amazing though i personally am waiting for the new pepsi gmt (wishful thinking i know - but i'm hoping the next gmt will have a brighter look)

i think you'l be happier with the YM...

How'd you guys know that's a fake? Just curious, don't ever want to be in that situation.

Minute markers around the dial seem too long to me.

The dial is a DEAD giveaway, as Rolex never made a silver starburst dial on the YMI.The font is questionable also.

I luv the YatchMaster-I midsize. it's attracted me to the world of Rolex. However, I ended up owning the Datona and EPX-II. It will be my next watch...some days...!

Just to be accurate, Rolex DID make a steel silver dial for the YM TT 16623 - but the lume plots had YG surrounds. This dial obviously doesn't.

Just sharing in spirit of communication in case any 16623 owners who have a similar looking dial (but with YG rimmed plots) come across this thread...

Correct.

What gave it away for me was the horrid bezel insert.

Hi guys

I have a Sub.116610 and do not have any YM but I love them and want to belong to the club of fans of this beautiful watch. Could I?
The 16622 and 116622 are beautiful but also admire the 16623 SSYG but no one speaks of it. Why????
Cheers ..

A very under-rated Rolex IMHO, I have also owned the Latest Blue dial version but sold it and went back to the Plat dial version (much cheaper pre-owned) and had enough cash left over to purchase an Omega Ploprof 1200M.

I had the same dilemma but I went with the blue dial YM for my first. I don't regret it for a second and have been wearing it everyday since August.
