I’d happily wear the green dial variant if it transpires to be true.

"PLEASE, irrespective of whether you like the new releases or not, comments such as Cubitus sounds like a "disease" as written by the above member in another of his post should be avoided."

It's hyperbole on a forum and nobody should have to apologise for that especially since they criticised a picture and name of a yet to be released object. Not someone's sick child or some genetic defect that cannot be helped. Wether they are right or wrong its an opinion that harms nobody

Looking forward to price info.

I’ll guess €40K for the blue faced model.

Thierry Stern said he doesn’t want to be known by just the Nautilus (a la AP and the Royal Oak), so he discontinued the 5711.

He then took a classic, iconic watch that is the 5711 and created this watch, which has the same elements as the 5711, and ruined it.

After all the bullshit in the past three days - the watches are quite nice - not a revolution - ok, but the whole hysteria in the internet was absurd.

The Cubitus looks like a bad knockoff of this.

^ This. It’s mind blowing that they decided a Frankenstein version is the best path forward.

I don't get it.
Same bracelet, same dial, same date window, same markers, same case (other than a bit squared off)? What am I missing here...

I hear everyone's disappointment, but there are many new watch launches that are derivative from other products. Think of the Yachtmaster... And PP has done a lot of mashups over the years. It would have been awesome to see a totally new look, but we are talking about PP and the watch industry.

Decubitus fits it quite well.

Too much pressure for too long on the same spot that was not handled properly.

Hilarious they would do this instead of making more nautilus. Keeping the bracelet and dial aesthetic the same is such a miss for me. I would prefer an entire new design.

Even more hilarious is that these will sell easily. I’ve never been the target as I think the aquanaut is by far their best sports watch design.

This new Patek is the perfect reason not to trade or sell my 5711. Clearly, PP is not going to come up with "something better".

I don't understand why they just didn't just produce more nautilus instead. They could double production on 5811G and still not have enough to go around, and arguably with a higher profit margin and less costs then developing and producing this abomination.

The only thing that would make these make any sense is if they were quartz and like half the price and therefore easier to produce in volumes.

For some many reasons, this release is absolutely baffling. The fact that they couldn’t even change the dial or bracelet is absurd.

Given all the highly coordinated “speculation” by the watch media I guess it will be quartz. If that is the case, I am very much interested in the price.

This cements my belief that Patek is not for me.
