I'm a dyed in the wool audiophile, and I love my Porsches. I buy them because I am emotional, and willing to pay for emotion. I go through 5-10 year cycles of upgrades, and expect the depreciation. How much any of us are willing to, or able to, afford to spend for these experiences is personal. I do tend to buy used items though, so my tolerance/ability to afford this is less than the purchaser of new items.

I think with watches it may be a bit different. I only have a few audio systems, but many of us like collecting many watches. I have an Antartique as my daily wear. Will give it to my son years down the road. If it's not worth that much at that point, that's fine. I will take pause though, at the number of watches I buy, in a market that is losing value.

I was selling a McIntosh amp I bought for a good price open box. When I listed it for sale I got a bunch of offers, one guy drove 7 hours to get it. I thought I listed it too high but apparently not nearly high enough.

Very nice Been wearing my white dial Antarctique on the same strap this week. If I was forced to reduce my collection to just one piece, this would probably be the one. Explorer is a close second. Both can be dressed up or dressed down and play nice for sporting activities.

Thanks and I agree- it’s a winner. If I could make one improvement on the rubber strap it would be a different more comfortable deployant, maybe a foldover as the buttons of the butterfly will sometimes dig into my wrist.

To take it one step further, a clasp with a bit of adjustability would be divine. The spacing for the strap cuts was in-between for me, so I went a bit tighter than I'd like. It actually works well for cool weather and when I'm on a plane, where my wrist is smaller, but in hot weather I actually change to the bracelet which has ample room to expand for my needs.

I kind of agree. I'm not used to butterfly clasps as this is my first watch with one, and it does dig into the wrist a bit. Not too bad and I've kind of gotten used to it/wear it slightly looser, but the fold over clasps are more comfortable. The butterfly clasps look more slick though. The butterfly clasp on the bracelet is also thinner than the one on the strap, which I'm sure there is some reason for.

Of note, this isn't a Czapek specific thing. I think this is true for all butterfly clasps.

I did the opposite, sized it for the biggest my wrist gets. I wear some watches looser, so this works for me.

Yeah, I went slightly on the larger size as well. Fits great in the warm weather but most of the time I’m in constant debate about trimming it just one more notch!

Anyone else received an email bringing forward delivery of the Revelation to the end of 2024 due to increased capacity. Good news, but must also be some reduced demand freeing up capacity too.

Yes, really concerning! Was wondering if anyone else had this issue. This doesn’t happen with any of my other watches….even the crappy ones I have. Sent them a message and Mike replied to make sure wind the watch first. WTF….this is supposed to be a high quality watch and to have the seconds hand jump around like that can’t be good in the long run. Also, seconds hand still jumps around some after winding anyway.

Seconds hand jumping when starting to set time with no power reserve is due to slack in wheels and is not unusual among mechanical movements. If charge is fully empty, few rounds of crown before setting time provides the minimal power reserve to avoid it by putting in tension the wheels train.

I chose the antarctique skeleton known as the “Revelation.” which was introduced at watches and wonders 2023. Production was supposed to be in 2025, so they have a bit early delivery date. My email told me that I can now expect production to begin in November 2024. I’ll show it when it arrives!

PS My email said that Czpaek is now making 20 watches a week, and produced 1000 watches in 2023.

Amazing piece. I tried it on at W&W last year. Might be the best looking model they have developed, though I’m happy with my Salmon. Congrats. Heres a pic fem W&W last year.

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place? Never seen any pics or video of where it is placed. Ty!

I will assume you mean the Antartique.
The microadjust is activated by pushing the small buttons on either side of the centerline on the clasp. These are circled poorly in the image below. The button on both sides (only one side shown) must be pressed to activate the microadjust. There are 4 buttons in total, 2 on each side. If you have an Antartique S, I do not recall if that bracelet has a microadjust.

Is your watch an Antarctique S (the 38.5mm size)?

We are still working on the microadjuster for those. In the mean time, it comes with two 2/3 size links.

If it is a 40.5 and doesn't have the microadjuster, please email me a photo and the serial number to mike AAATTTT czapek DDDDDOOOOTTTT com
