'Hot hatch' is a term, not wasted on this little gem!

276bhp in a 1300kg 4WD car.

So true and so funny.

After I bought my first Corvette, people would make comments like what a babe magnet it was, etc. It was so opposite - I'd have guys come up to me in parking lots, gas stations, etc. (straight men) and never once did a woman approach me. Now, my Jaguar, OMG, that was a babe magnet. Which was good, since I'd have someone to talk to while waiting for the tow truck.

My Jaguar is one hell of a driveway ornament. I really need to spend some time and money on it. Love the brand overall.

Love them as you get plenty of time to admire the country side when your sitting on the side of the road.

IMO the early ones are actually quite reliable and very basic I have had a few e types flat floor s1 the best I have a s3 v12 a bit problematic as no room in engine bay, the xk120/140/150 are imo reliable with a knowledgable mechanic had a 140 and a 150 never a problem bar fuel pumps. Enlarged radiator with twin fans fix most problems.

Even Enzo Ferrari said the etype was the most beautiful car ever made.

The S1 IMO is such a beautiful car. I use to want a later one with the 4.2 but looking at them now the flat floor welded louvers variants are just so cool. (And pricey :( )

I know you weren’t asking me, but my father had a s2 and my uncle an Xk120. My family has long had a Jaguar problem.

I have one non running one currently, but someone near me has a XK-120 fhc in need or restoration for $20k. I’m so tempted… I believe my wife would be less than impressed though.

Sorry for my Jaguar ramblings…

Alright car people, I'm looking for some feedback/input. First, I acknowledge there is some serious ground force firepower in this thread. I'm playing at a level below some of that. I currently own an ultra low mileage 2019 M2C, Hockenhiem Silver, 6spd manual - attached picture is not my car, but that's the car. It may not be as fast as some others in this thread, but it most definitely is not slow. I find it to be maybe the most fun car I have ever owned. I try not use the word love in regards to inanimate objects, but I love driving this car. That said, IT is out of warranty, I don't have a good mechanic, and at this point I would really rather punch myself in the nuts than step foot back in my local BMW dealership. I am about a half spit away from being completely over the brand on account of.

I am considering trading (or selling outright) an getting into a V8 Mustang. Because V8s are awesome. Mandatory would be a Borla, or comparable, exhaust sytem. Because if you are going V8 let everyone else experience with you, if you know what I mean. Can't decide on manual or auto.

I believe the M2 is a better built machine, it has a manual, which does not suck, and I really do enjoy driving the car. What else does not suck are V8s. Its really that and overall total cost of ownership is starting to grind on me just a touch to move on to something else.

Is this crazy or what?

Dude, keep the M2 comp and add the v8 mustang with coyote motor and manual trans. They’re two different cars.

A well kept lower mileage M2 comp will be one hell of a find not too far down the road.

Well...that would be the TRF way. I feel certain that if I roll in with another car Mrs Easy E will demonstrate what catastrophic O-Ring failure looks like in people.

I’d go GT350R.

Friend of mine has one - great fun on and off track, great sounding V8, serious machine.

My question would be are you a BMW guy or a Mustang Guy? You can be both, depending, but having to choose between the two it comes down to what you want and like the most. I would prefer the BMW especially if it has not given you any trouble. The Mustangs are icons but a totally different driving experience. When in doubt, don't.

A 350 variant is certainly of great consideration. What a motor!

I can't say either way if I'm a Mustang guy or not. I do appreciate them, never really driven one other that a test drive down the road and back. I have spent a ton of time at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg and have most definitely driven many BMWs....hard. I can say that time there is basically what lead to me picking up the M2.

I’m on my 5th BMW. So I guess that makes me a BMW guy. But that new Mustang, with the Dark Horse trim, is tempting. Extremely tempting.

But I’m still more likely to get another BMW or maybe a Mercedes next time around.

Where do you guys get the vintage cars? Privately? From car dealers? Would not mind a convertible Mercedes SL for weekends.

It is a good chassis setup too. Really the only modern era Mustang I’d even consider to be honest…

The buddy who has one, the other car he let me try out was the Ford GT (the second gen version).

If you make the jump, the 350r will (in my opinion) a natural progression coming from your M2 comp…

This is a fun / second car? The 350R is not what I’d consider a casual daily driver.
