Perdomo Habano Corojo. Well constructed, smooth, and easy to smoke, but surprisingly bland. I'm halfway and it seems to have lost any flavor or bite.

FWIW, my tuppordor is at 70% but I'm thinking of switching to 65%.

FWIW, 65% is much better. Give it a try. Cuban cigars like lower humidity levels anywhere from 62-65%. 70% and they smoke horribly.

I have a commercial grade stand up freezer that maintains 10 below zero F.
I freeze EVERYTHING incoming before it goes into my humidor cabinet for 48 hours. Never had a beetle outbreak since. It is cheap insurance since cigars are so expensive.

I hear ya John and that will probably be my practice also from now on, just wish I was this diligent last week when I got in a 5'er that clearly had eggs in the sticks...

Excellent choice there.

Welcome to the club!

Don Pepin/My Father cigars are my favorites but tend to be on the stronger/spicier side. He makes a variety of different blends. You'll find mini reviews here sometimes, but there are cigar forums dedicated to cigar talk too. Everyone's tastes are different and generally change over time. Fuentes are also a good choice.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been following this thread for a while, I travel a lot for work and saw someone suggested the short Cubans packed a lot for their size, so that's what I started with. I'll have to try the ones you suggested. This one was quite good.
