Ok so it’s not a car, but whatever.

I’m about to close on this house, super excited about the garage. I’ve never had a nice garage, and am looking forward to stuffing it with cars and bikes!

All my non-car friends (and wife!) think I am bananas for looking at cabinets, lifts and flooring for the garage before anything regarding the interior of the house lol.

Oh nice space! The garage is the only room in the house my wife will let me have lol!! Choose the right flooring and it will transform it.

I'm a bmw guy just because I bought one 14 years ago and I've been with the BMW CCA for just as long. I enjoyed the track time and my drives with them.

The main problem is that because I have an E60 stick shift + NA V8 it's impossible to replace it nowadays. Anything remotely interesting is now over $200k and I just can't see myself enjoy driving more even if I replaced my old car so BMW remains.

Nostalgic car-love related rant:
I really miss the full color, model specific, auto brochures that were available at every dealership.
I miss being able to open them up wide, circle options, write notes in the margins and compare one manufacturer to another, feature against feature, in one place on the table in front of me.
Somehow opening and closing different tabs on my laptop just isn't the same. I'm inclined to think manufacturers did away with them to save themselves money, but that doesn't help the customer much.
File those lost to the good old days.

I agree and like to do the same thing. We only keep up with Toyota and Lexus these days and they both still do brochures (I'm on a list and they send them to me automatically) but I think they are the only ones. When I got the new LX and GX brochures it was like Christmas.

Beautiful car. 20 years ago I had a 328i E36 coupe and I still regret selling it. The steering was fantastic.

I use classic.com all the time, this will show you auctions for cars and what they recently sold for to get an idea of what you should be paying.

Lastly the XJ-6 I learned to drive in. My father passed over a decade ago, but I just happened to find this about a year ago in the middle of nowhere TN, with my father’s name on the records in the glovebox still. I need to fix it, but it keeps landing on the back burner.

Sorry for all the side story. Just on the subject of Jaguar.

One day I’d love to ad a S1 convertible in primrose yellow with a black interior.

I had an XJ6 Sovereign for a short time. I loved it because it was a really exceptional car, but honestly it wasn't my world, it wasn't made for me. So I decided to say goodbye to her.

Lol, same. I'm currently deciding between polyaspartic, tile and polished concrete. I welcome any thoughts. My wrenching skills are sorta basic, I am not going to be swapping any engines or rebuilding transmissions, but plan on changing oil/flushing fluids/waterpump/sparkplug replacement etc etc.

Thank you, Seth. It's funny the wide berth between my friends that don't think much of it vs the car guy friends who are enthusiastic for for me as well lol. The heart wants what the heart wants, I guess.

Here is what I did last summer. Turned out quite nice. Extremely durable stuff.

It’s a product from a company called

NewAge flooring. It’s a stone composite lvc tile. Best stuff ever.

Ottawa? Pro install?

Any issues with getting water under the tiles? Looks like a nice alternative!

I ordered the material myself and then had a couple of my staff help me install it. There is a 100% waterproof guarantee, with all that slush and sleet in the winter months, no leaks or penetration. It is also resistant to impacts of 40,000 lbs/sq inch or something like that.
Many car dealerships are installing this, it is anti-slip. Comes in various colors and patterns.
