I'm new in the board, and new to rolex's. Just got me a vintage 1973 DJ TT blueface. pics to come as soon. too poor to own a digicam hehehe

I made this a daily watch and to my surprise, although people do know the brand, they have no idea what a rolex looks like...ordinary folks couldn't distinguish a rolex from a seiko/casio/other steel watch..Did you get the same observation?

I am in Manila (for 2 weeks) on a business trip and hoping to sneak out on weekend for some shopping. Any tips on Rolex AD's or reputed pre-owned ones (around Makati) and the price flexibility w.r.t MSRP? Heard that even SS Daytona may be available at AD; any info?

Hi SwissAlps, For ADs try greenbelt 5 in makati and trinoma mall in quezon city. For second hands, I heard they sell at the Shangri la hotel in mandaluyong city.

To add- there's a small watch store at the Hyatt in Manila (on Pedro Gil St.). They carry all major brand names, mostly LNIB pre-owned, but the owner's friend (prolly relative) is an AD. Ca$h transaction leads to more discount.
