I love the NV Chardonnay. I still have a few 2013s I need to drink.
We tasted at Soter a few years ago to visit a friend working the wine room, it is a great place.

I would have to go with Vincent or Goodfellow. Drinking a Kelley Fox right now, better after having been opened three days.

I agree 100% on 2013 Napa cabs. I have decanted for four hours, drank a glass, and saved the rest for the next day, or even two days later. I am trying to keep my hands off the rest for about five years. Roy Piper and M Etain still need years in the bottle regardless of the decant.

Enjoyed the above with friends during a tasting dinner at Husk in Greenville.

Enjoyed this with my sweet little wife the weekend before.

Arg, not sure why these are not posting properly. Probably because I am doing it from the iPad instead of computer.

Mtpisgah, may I suggest you try double decanting, 1 to 2? Days must be going over. This also helps a little with the woody tastes of californian reds I find

Had a pre-birthday warm up bottle last night. It was an Ark but tasted an awful lot like one of the Few and Far Between bottles (with a bit of Cabernet Frac mixed in). Can't wait or decide for my 40th tomorrow, either a 2003 Ark or a 2009 Dominus. No one else is going to drink with me at dinner either so it's all mine...unless Paul stops by and grabs a glass lol.

After seeing DeeTees post with some nice steaks. I decided I needed a steak tonight as well.

Had this with a nice bone-in ribeye. Sad that I only have 4 bottles left of the 2012. This tasted very nice after 45 minute decant.

I took both to dinner but pulled out a left field play and ended up opening a 2007 Dominus instead that I had found about 80 miles north the same day. Made the drive and back just in time to get the kids from school.

I'll end up opening that 03 within the next few weeks for sure!

Stumbled upon this little gem after reading an article/ interview with the head winemaker. I liked what he had to say about the process of making their wines. It may be pretty young but with a few minutes of air it's remarkedly silky smooth and light to medium bodied yet finishes with a tiny bit of cassis and body on the way down the throat. I'm going to have to buy more of this and stash it away before it becomes expensive.

Just realized I had this '02 Lewis cab. Going to tilt it up slowly and drink tomorrow. Hopefully I didn't miss the window to drink.

Great Merlot there! I have quite a few of those Stag's Leaps that get opened up around here on occasion. That one there is a winery direct one if it's the grey label, good score.

Opened this up tonight, was supposed to be for my 40th birthday but another bottle took its place that night. Great bottle although for some reason I think the 2012 one I had last year was even better than this one although that's like saying which Ferrari is better? Lol.
