If you want a YM and this is a YM then might as well buy a YM now not after the announcement, because that one will be impossible to get. weird right?
I still don’t know ahah you’re taking about, but ok. I don’t want a YM. My point is, it doesn’t mAtter what they unveil, if I do want it I won’t be able to get one anyway, so why bother?

And I’m not sure what the ability to buy one now (which, I’ve not seen a YM in a dealer in 6+ months anyway) has to do with anything if I didn’t want the current model.

2021 is the 50th for the EXPII. I have been expecting that year for a II upgrade but would be excited for a faster release. The shaft of the hour hand in the teaser looks too long and thin to be an Explorer II.

My official guess is a SS Yacht-Master on Oysterflex.

This whole thing reminds me of when I used to try to watch scrambled porn back in the day through the static on cable. I think I saw a nipple!! I can't even tell what I'm looking at past the first shot. Good luck!

then we got internet right around high school on the family computer... and then i figured out a thing called browsing history. I preferred the scrambled channels

i think some of the guesses here are pretty spot on though. I would actually be really surprised if its not a YM now

I’m really hoping it’s an explorer ii with the word explorer moved down to the bottom and new refined case.

i hope not because a 2 year WL for a 75K rolex is absurd, and it would happen

Haven't read through this entire thread, so I apologize if this has already been mentioned.

Yesterday I read a thread where someone "heard from their AD" (taken with a huge grain of salt) that Rolex will be introducing a brand new model. Then in one of the responses someone theorized a diver chrono with date. While I highly doubt this is the case, this teaser does make the theory a bit more intriguing IMO. It has the classic Rolex diver dial markers and hands (of course many non-diver models also share these features.) We can't see any of the lower half of the dial so there could easily be a couple sub-dials down there. The "D" indicating date, which would be an interesting hint as Rolex has not produced a chronograph w/ date function in decades (pre-Daytona.) And finally those lugs which, to me, don't look quite like any others in their catalogue.

Like I said, I wouldn't bet money on it, and if it did happen I most likely wouldn't be interested, but it's fun to speculate.

Pending trademarks not yet registered. Most filed 2017 and trinergy in 2018. Not sure it means much though but the Dynachrom sounds interesting

I am going to go with my hopes and dreams when I guess on this one.

I think the video is two different watches. A new explorer, hence the black hands and dial markers. Probably a II and they moved the "Explorer" writing down on the dial like all other professional models.

Second watch is a SS version of the RG YM on OF...which would be my next watch. Gives a rotating bezel to those that hate the maxi case.

The letter "L" of Perpetual is in the center of the "X" of Rolex .... The 126710BLRO has this too ... MY guess: 126710LN

A Sub has the letter "L" slightly off center from the letter "X"

The lugs is a different watch. Maybe 126622/126629

Cheers

I would love this option. On the oysterflex too. Would give a different sports watch feel.

Or even a different PM would provide some options.

If, and it's a big "if," Rolex is sticking to tradition in any meaningful way, then I think it has to be a PM (WG or PT) YM. Here's what we know so far, both about the current/historical line and this teaser:

1. Only Sub/GMT/EXP II/SD/YM use circular hour markers. This has them.

2. SS YM has always had a colored seconds hand, this one appears to be unpainted WG.

3. PM models are typically introduced first when an all-new version is released.

4. Lettering appears to be applied WG, which the above-mentioned models only have on their PM varieties.

5. GMT/Sub/SD/EXP II never have fully polished lugs, even on PM models (and Sub/SD never will, something about attracting sharks...).

Based on this, my guess is an all-WG YM. That's particularly true if what I read is true, and other professional series WG models are being dropped. This is probably among the most appropriate models to come in WG anyways...

Why would the Explorer ll get a ceramic bezel? It’s bezel is fixed.

I believe this is the most likely result...a WG YM on oysterflex. I just don't like the pricing model of the RG YM.

Don’t think a WG YM on oysterflex would get the big teaser treatment. Would most likely be part of the regular roll out of new watches.

Maybe SS?

I’m useless at photoshop and all that editing malarkey.

I have tried to take a still and make it a bit clearer.

There could be a 4th hand between 5-6.. .
