Posting a photo purporting to be a photo he took of his parents house on fire when it was a newspaper photo from a couple of months earlier.

Australia doesn't do much. Our punishments are weak. Unless your stealing from the government it's a minor penalty compared to other countries.

Alan Bond who's fraud involved billions go a few years. They had a legal case on TV where a man had a whole counterfeit DVD operation business, they raided his house, store, so much police manpower and the penalty was a few thousand dollar fine.

BUT.. he allegedly is stealing from the Gov!

He's allegedly collected GST (Sales Tax) when his entity is not registered with the ATO.

This means it is highly possible he has been pocketing an extra 10% on his customers, and looting the gov of its due taxes.

If that is what has been happening, he is about to get into a lot of trouble.

Not to mention, the bushfire scammery is going to attract reporters like a pig to shit.

Well that explains him defending Chris and refusing to ban him. I really think Chris sees a way out of this, a way back and they are leaving the door open for him for some strange reason. Perhaps they were working together on these sales? The problem is, this will never go away. The internet remembers. I always felt they spoilt this wonderful hobby here in Australia. Their behaviour and attitudes were disgusting and none of this now surprises me at all. I have personally had a few run ins with Chris and with this news I feel like Christmas has come early.

I had an unfortunate incident with him a while back. He was claiming to give away 10 casioaks. Looked like a total follow me on all my media to bloat my subscribers list plea. Which is common but the thing that seemed off to me was he announced the winners in an unrelated YouTube in a non similar format of user names and partial emails. Can't remember exactly but i asked about it in his feed and messaged him if he could get some winners to post. He was unprofessional and gruff with me and the others, deleted the and feed blocked me. Confirmed to me he acts just like the meathead he looks like.

- He got a decent price on a Daytona that he intended to flip

- Sometime between posting the watch for sale and promising to ship out the watch he realised it was fake.

- To protect his reputation he went panic mode stalled and stalled and stalled on shipping to try and find a real watch to send, hence all of the excuses regarding the shipping, and refusing to give the buyer any details at all about the supposed shipped parcel, as well as refusing to provide any correspondence between himself and DHL and insurer.

- Once buyer finds out it's fake, Chris doesn't have the funds to refund and drags the process out longer

That's my assessment based on the facts, really poor from Chris actually and should rightfully damage his rep

Seems a pretty extreme reaction if, as you say, he only realised it was fake after he posted it for sale.

If he did genuinely only realise it was fake AFTER posting it for sale, surely a better thing to have done would have been to simply contact the buyer and just say he had found a small problem with the watch & didn’t feel comfortable sending it out in that condition.

He could have apologised for any inconvenience & refunded the money & that would have been the end of it.

Buyer would have accepted the story and been grateful for the ‘honesty’ - nobody wants to receive a watch with a problem, right?

But no, he made a load of elaborate excuses & then posted out a counterfeit watch.

It makes no sense to me especially as he has more to lose than most with his reputation as a general all round good egg & all that goes with it.

The mans a fool.

Couldn't agree more. But the problem is most people are scared to speak up, and his counting on that. Using his "reputation" as a shield. He prays on these people. Look even now, there is so much evidence against this guy, yet some that have been scammed by him are still too scared to speak up about it.
