This is important

There is quite the arms race going on amongst the pharm companies right now and I suspect that they will push each other and the regulating agencies. I also suspect there will be more than one vaccine that hits the market. There will be +/- 7,000,000,000 potential recipients so it is one hell of a market.

For my APHA folks.

I've always said that they were best in class for the MJ stocks, and this merger would be another step towards greater exposure.

Thx for sharing Jessie. Happy to be long this name, and has been nice to see it catch a bid the last few days. More good days to come!

Irwin is a solid CEO and I think he's taking the company in the right direction.

Here's a great resource to find upcoming earnings dates, as well as previous earnings reports for each company:

Opened a small position in BAC after the drop on earnings, averaged further into MS

Financials are still beaten down and will do fine in the longer term IMHO.

I am closing out some of my JPM and C position this morning. With the end of unemployment benefits and other CARES act assistance, i believe things will only get worse in the short to mid term for all the banks.

Tech getting hammered still, but with pretty low volume today. Maybe some panic selling or some fear heading into earnings? I for one am looking forward to several tech companies like MSFT, AMZN and some cloud companies posting great growth in revenues, and showing us all why tech is a safe place to be right now. Share prices went a bit far for some companies to be sure (AMZN, TSLA, SHOP, FSLY), but this shakedown seems to be more of a “sell the rumour” rather than “sell the news” situation with earnings so close - maybe we will see the reverse “buy the news” in panic mode after strong earnings.

I’m thinking the same. All of my indicators are starting to show we’re bottomed for the short term in tech. Might pickup some FSLY monthlies

Some upward momentum the past few days, anyone think the Bronco could be a true saving grace for Ford? Not just the product line itself but something intangible giving it the “cool” factor?

People will be digging out of a financial hole for a couple of years. Next boom in 3-4 years.

Exactly, long term investments are where I am focused, hype names are too volatile and are not trading on a rational basis.

Consolidated phase for many stocks prior to earnings.

I wouldn't panic sell on any of the tech companies - fundamentals haven't changed, just too quick of a run-up and this pain is probably necessary for the time being, as we've all mentioned.

NFLX to report at close today; results should be interesting.

I thought Netflix was going to make their estimates regardless of competition from Hulu/ Disney + , amazon, and Apple. Down nearly 11% to $466ish.

https://s22.q4cdn.com/959853165/file...ith-Tables.pdf

“ Competition
All of the major entertainment companies like WarnerMedia, Disney and NBCUniversal are pushing their own streaming services and two of the most valuable companies in the world, Apple and Amazon, are growing their investment in premium content. In addition, TikTok’s growth is astounding, showing the fluidity of internet entertainment. Instead of worrying about all these competitors, we continue to stick to our strategy of trying to improve our service and content every quarter faster than our peers. Our continued strong growth is a testament to this approach and the size of the entertainment market.”

Too bad they did mention Epic Games, YouTube, and Roblox as competitions.

Not sure if that's the message that I would want to emphasize...kind of like when Blockbuster disregarded Redbox / Netflix as competition.

I’m gonna continue to increase my position if there is a pullback again.

My significant other bought NFLX right before the close

I guess we can count on this adding the weakness in tech tomorrow.

Facebook preps global launch of TikTok competitor

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Seems to be just one more market Facebook could capitalize on, especially with all of the bad press and potential ban of Tik Tok. Disclosure: Long FB.

NASDAQ looks to be leading this morning, with possible profit takers moving from NFLX into other tech.

Heading to Marco Island for the weekend so won't be too in the loop; hoping everyone has a better day than this week has proven to be.

I have no interest in FB as I do not agree with their ethics or CEO

NFLX was/is priced to perfection. It might be a buying opportunity here after the earnings drop but I still feel it is too expensive and would rather deploy capital elsewhere

Anyone own bank stocks? I recently bought GS and JPM, but I am having second thoughts. Interest rates remain low, defaults on real estate, commercial property, credit cards rise.

I own MA,V, Pypl, Fisv. I think fin tech > banks. Others’ thoughts?

Was pleasantly surprised with the last couple days of Blink Charging trading after a rough prior week. Still, I wish it increased with published news but a gain is a gain.

I have some Blink positions but the bigger interest for me is in Envision Solar.

I think they are good companies, but I believe they will stay discounted for a while, until the rest of the economy starts moving again for real. I don’t know much about the fintech companies themselves, but they have definitely been outperforming the banks.

Yes I own, JPM, BAC, MS and WFC

There are far more ways for banks to make money today, JPM and MS have vast trading operations

Big week in earnings, with MSFT and TSLA on tap for Wednesday (among others).

Are the COVID tailwinds priced in for the tech stocks, just like the headwinds for cyclicals? Or will we have the wild swings that we had after Q1 earnings?

Last week's bank earnings didn't signal a "sky is falling" type of event, but it's still early.

I'll be holding all of my positions through earnings, and will look to add on any showings of weakness...unless guidance / fundamentals within the companies has changed.

Good questions but hard to project given the very thin summer trading.

I hold MSFT and believe it is a long term stock, the Financials are for the most part fine.
