Tried these on in Taipei and was offered the Lange 1. Almost pulled the trigger since it’s my ultimate grail , but with two kids in college and one just married , I had to say no. I was offered it on the spot though , for some reason I thought there was a wait for the Lange 1.

No wait for most of their watches atm.
If you look pre-owned you can find a Lange 1 half price. Might be worth considering if you are not going to buy many of their watches.

Thanks for the advice, It was spendy with all the recent increases. The problem is that most of the pre owneds I'm seeing in full kit are pretty darn old.I just don't want to buy a watch that needs an expensive and long service the moment I get it home.

I'll keep looking with the trusted sellers.

There is definitely some good ones around if you look.
Subdial in the UK are great for Lange, and I think EWC from what I hear across the pond.

I picked this up from Subdial- so you can find them! Regarding service, a Lange 1 service will cost a few thousand dollars, but it will come back like new. They don’t polish the watches, they build the cases back up and then polish, so you don’t lose any material.
So in my estimation, even with a service, buying second hand is much better value.
