A friend who has already been in receipt of the ntpt felt that the dial did not pop like the colors on the other 11-03's.

Again, take this lightly as it's from an individual who is not an RM fan.

Thanks, understood.
On this basis, I also understand they are already out of delivery.

To a lurker and wimp who unfortunately has nothing to contribute to this thread please educate me...

1) What is the difference between NTPT and TPT Quartz? Is their a preference between the two?
2) Does the Ceramic scratch? I have been in a boutique overseas and in an AD in the US and noticed both pieces seemed to have scratches. That is concerning for a watch at this price point that is sitting in a showcase and just being handled until purchased but maybe I didn't know what the heck I was looking at?
3) RM 35 vs 35-01 vs 35-02. Does the RM 35 without the "notches in the case" wear the smallest out of them all with regards to thickness and diameter. Based on my limited knowledge and if funds were infinite I think I would take the RM 35 Ultimate Edition based on what seems like a smaller size and most durable material.

(Sorry for the ramble and questions as I am sick of the Patek subforum thread regarding "When are dealers are getting the 5522A?" LMAO!

No different than a Patek being scratched in showcase. Never buy a watch out of showcase--no matter the brand IMHO. There won't be any popular pieces sitting in RM showcase to begin with most likely

I tried on a 35-02 at Cellini when I was at the Patek Exhibition in NYC. Damn nice! I am trying to turn to the dark side Paul. Regarding the ceramic, I was still shocked on two separate occasions one in Az and one in Paris to see the case scratched. I know pieces get manhandled all the time at ADs and messed up hence plastic wrap all over many of them but would've thought it held up better is all. Your 11-03 is a beauty!

Don't be 'shocked' Mike it will be okay.

Was in Vegas last week and visited many AD's...I would not buy any of the display pieces I saw from PP, AP, Rolex, etc. Any popular RM pieces won't be in a showcase to begin with, so don't worry.

Every RM I've ever bought has come sealed.

Keep the PP salmon color alive brother.

I buy RM because they do not scratch. (Obviously not the metals)......so again this doesn't really add up to me

Thanks for chiming in John. I am not trolling or trying to cast a black eye on the brand and figured You and Paul would know better than anyone.

Maybe it was the flat carbon case not the ceramic. ive seen those scratch on the earlier 35s, im pretty sure ceramic is scratch proof.

This or some of the 011 PVD cases.. but they don't use these materials for black cases anymore... materials advance like Paul's photography skills

Hi guys, general question. One of my friend bought a black RM35-02 in June from one of RM boutiques in Europe. He paid usd 140k, now he needs to sell it for personal reasons and dealers are offering him usd 120k. We know they need to make money but such a desired piece, like new in a box, would be valued like this? I know US list is usd 130k, perhaps this is the reason they are offering like this?

The watch is used. Dealers are always going to offer lower (no matter the brand)...they have to make money.

$120 is a solid offer to be honest from a dealer.

You should buy it.

This isn't really news. If he paid over then that is always a gamble you take. You should buy it.

120k isn't bad at all.

Thanks, guys.
He did not pay over - just the full retail in Europe after tax refund. The issue is Euro is very strong against USD which makes RM prices to be higher than US. Better to buy from US.
