Big big fan of Lewis, was under rated before the WS wine of the year honors last year. Committed some baby killing myself last night.

Lol..well, I'm not sure how much more I can play defense w/ the little lady. She's been itchin' to drink it for going on 3 years now. I'll let her know she's gonna have to wait another 5 years!

Fave white was the Henriot. Beautiful nose, lovely palate, nice finish. Fully mature and in its prime. I'm planning to drink my remaining bottles over the next couple years.

Fave red was the Roumier, with the caveat that I have a peculiar liking for burgundy that tastes like Northern Rhone.........

I'd like to say it was too young, or too cloying given it's pedigree but it was fab, truly great!!

The tinman in general drink exceptionally well when young, Scarecrow has far more structure and is built for age IMHO, but it drinks really well young too LOL so what do I know...

Haven’t opened any of that 16 - but have opened a couple and they are all very approachable.

Haven’t opened a Scarecrow or M. Étain in 8 or 9 months - but it’s in my top 5 — just got an email yesterday about my allocation coming in Feb.

Good to hear, as they start to pile up here I'll consider opening them a little earlier. Great to hear Roger, got my email as well, can't wait!

Tonight's selection, a 2007 Melka Metisse "Jumping Goat Vineyard" cabernet sauvignon. MY GOD what a great wine on opening! It's only been open for 10 minutes but it has so much going on already that I almost mistook it for an older Hundred Acre. Great great bottle!

I'm loving just about everything made in 2007 in Napa, haven't found a bad or mediocre one yet.

FYI the CJ gets released on Tuesday but the winery hasn't put that out yet. It should be available for purchase by the 22nd.

Tonight's selection, a more day to day type of Napa Cab Sauv blend. Great winemaker (Andy Erickson) with middle of the run fruit. Not bad for $40 a bottle. After an hour in the decanter I can drink this all day long.

A. The wine was delicious (about a 2 hour decant).
B. Sous vide is my new favorite way to cook. The filets were fantastic

Tried to get a sous vide cooker over the holidays but they never shipped it, so had to issue a chargeback. I've been excited to try as well... which did you get, Clark?

Going with Turley tonight. Really tasty with ~30mins of air.
