Thanks friend,
My boy has already staked a milky claim on the Sub - I guess my daughter could have my Datejust. Or maybe i'll sell the watches and buy a truck load of nappies.

btw - It's Ian not David - sorry terrible TRF name I chose

I didn't know if they were local or what! Or maybe had a different name in the UK.

You got after the boys in the 3 word thread, didn't you!

Indeed he does - and is. It seems like a never-ending cycle of feeding, winding and nappy changes - grabbing sleep whenever possible.
If you think I look tired you should see their mum
Still, they are great fun.

btw Great pic Lisa, very chic.

Of course I did Lisa...I might be a salubrious old git with the innuendo but I'm anti pics of half nude women where ladies are around...my bet is that most guys wouldn't have pics up like that in an office if they worked with women so why do it here??????

J

Yeah we have toys r us but us brits are a little old fashioned...we like the olde worlde toyshops that are warmly lit on a bleak, dark, icy, english december evening...pop in quick to do a last bit of Christams shopping etc..."mom and Pop" I believe you guys call it.

Interesting point...I odered a couple of Elmo Live dools for William for Xmas...ordered two in case Amazon was sold out...I preordered as all over the place they are talking about them being the hot toy for xmas...big figures on ebay etc.

Mine were delivered today...keeping one the other is going back unless anybody on here wants to buy it for what I paid for it.

Anyway, I digress...today big chain stores in town all sold out...talking about shortage for xmas....smaller "mom and pop" types...full of them!!!!!!!! They are sat on a goldmine every year these places and they have no idea. It's great, it gives hope to the frantic xmas shopper folk desperate to get the kids the toy tey want whereas the souless 'toy barns' couldn't care less.

Jeez I'm a soppy old git!

Seriously though we are so lucky to have two healthy babies. I can't imagine the world without them now.

Could not agree more Toys R Pus has got to be the worst and most souless toy experience out there. They have killed off all the smaller toy shops in my area.
Our Toys R Pus was built on the old site of the Brighton & Hove Albion football site that was sold under dodgy circumstances to developers. Many Brighton people refuse to shop there.

I wish we had the mom & pop kinds of stores. They just don't seem to fare well here. I'll probably do as you and do my holiday shopping via internet. It's so much easier. Just have to find good hiding places.

Good grief, I've got to get to work on Violet's stocking! I've hand-made those for June and Violet, but really lost momentum on poor V. I didn't have it last year for HER FIRST Christmas - bad mum. But I reasoned she wouldn't know the difference, and she didn't!
