It was an eventful race, early indications:
PER a full “second + change” faster than VER. OCO & NOR as fast as SAI (ignore LEC since he never got to half fuel load) and within a tenth or so of the podium. More than a few cars got faster…strategy is another thing. Look forward to the Royal Rodeo and Real Yacht Basin races. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thanks for sharing! Max DRS issues probably had some reason for getting smoked by Perez, but all in all, Perez is handling the car beautifully. Sainz is struggling with the Ferrai IMO. Whats crazy is the same spots Sainz struggles Max does also. They are almost mimicking the push on their cars and their cars are responding very similarly. This race and the last. |

Wait… who’s the middle schooler? Lol Overall I was very impressed with the top 3 teams. It was a very exciting race. I’m still hoping Mercedes does something big so they can be more competitive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I agree the race was actually enjoyable. One day maybe my DR3 will be in the fight and I will actually care or have some one to root for. Right now I just love the drama as it makes the race interesting. I would love to see Sainz and Russel get in the mix and have like a 4 person battle towards the end rather than 1 or 2 just dominating and running away with it.

I know Lewis wasn't actually racing anyone but rather just passing slower cars, but he did show great speed in his recovery after the puncture and shows what kind of race pace the Merc has now. For reference, the Merc was putting in fastest lap after fastest lap and was only .1 off the fastest lap of the race. It looks like the Mercs might have been faster than the Ferrari's in race long pace. |

So because he can put down the fast laps now all of a sudden it is the car? Got it. So basically no matter how he drives (coming from last to fourth) it is now just the car. Well I guess I will end it with when your man gets his 7th we can talk. He is still. 7x champ and I know you think it was “handed” to him well then let’s wait for VER to get handed his next one. I call it the way I see it. The guy is an amazing driver and the haters are going to hate because that is what always happens. Just head over to any NFL thread and you will see the same hate about Tom Brady.

In respect to others who have said that I post too much about LH I specifically refrained from mentioning him or how how his teammate beat him yet again in my post after the Spanish GP. I also mentioned how Max was very lucky to have won that race and described 4 different things went right for him in that win. I really don't know what you want from me because you specifically quoted me and asked me about Hamilton. So here I am, are you ready?
I was honest in my assessment of Max and did the same about Hamilton. If you need me to not restrain myself, I'd be happy to assess the whiny little bitch he is and has always been - the most overrated multiple champion in the history of F1. His brand new teammate is making him look like a proper overpaid #2 driver. Russell was engaged in actual racing for the major part of the race, Lewis was not and putting in laps passing Williams, HAAS, AlphaTauri, Aston Martin's etc.. The Merc is faster than is has been prior to the Spanish GP and could be faster than the Ferrari in race trim now. Now you're turn, Mr. Dirt. Explain how anything I've written is factually incorrect. I'll wait. |

Phillip, I strongly object to some of your language here.
I'm surprised the Mod's let it pass. |

That would be awesome. Love max at the top but russel is quite impressive. I think we see him in the fight later in the season. At this rate i see him winning very soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Didn’t Verstrappin only win due to the Ferrari failure and after RB ordered Perez to give his place to him? I would of preferred Perez disobey the order.
Impressive watching Hamilton work his way to fourth after the first lap incident. Russell also had an amazing race. Thrilling watching him block Perez. |

The Official Formula One Thread!

The track monitors we see on Sky Sports are keyed to the light panels. Those panels are triggered by a marshal when s/he sees either the incident, or if unsighted, sees a yellow flag pop up. The flag marshals typically take about a second of reaction time to pop out a flag. Add in the panel marshal and it can be maybe 2 seconds for the monitors to display it to the viewers. Either way, a yellow flag which comes between two flag posts can be too late for a driver to fully react, especially in a blind corner like the one ahead of the tunnel. M8A & M8B owned the incident - but note where panel 10 is located. Even if M8A got it up in time, so it would’ve been something special to help SAI. The Stewards knew this and did not launch an investigation. This can happen in a split second so SAI had less than a second to react, thus the slow slide into PER. Would’ve preferred a dry start. Then rain later.
This way the start will be neutralized. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

+1. Let the real, old F1 return. Do not hide into garages with even a slight rain. Isn’t that what these top drivers are paid for? |

Think there’s 3 schools of thought -
Teams want a safe race; Fans want a race. Later, regardless, officials are criticized for a boring race… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
