This waiting room is very high tech and organized. There is a large screen that displays each patients status, and where he is in the process. In addition, the OR nurse calls every hour to give me an update.

She just called - so far, everything's great!

Carolina it sounds like you are going to be in it for the long haul of recovery for your hubby. My doctors want to do bone fusion for my right wrist but I'm going to look into the possibility of wrist replacement surgery!!!

Great news, guys!! I just had a consult with the surgeon, and he 's "tickled" with the results - they couldn't have gone better.

Chris is in recovery, and I won't be able to see him for an hour or so. It's too soon to make predictions, but the doctor is optimistic that this will significantly improve his back issues.

Carolina, I would hate the part about not riding my bicycle. Actually I'm putting off seeing the hand surgeon till after the bicycling season!!!
Now remember,men are like big babies(grown children) and can get real needy. So have patience but be firm!!!
