I really enjoyed the viscosity and the caramel/butterscotch notes. I’m looking for that!

This is mine, so I’m biased. But I think we picked an interesting one. Very Bookers like, young, hot but evolves nicely with water.

Regular KC Single Barrel is widely available nowadays, and I would highly recommend. 120 pf, cut it to where you want and a consistently good demo of Beam/KC profile. $60 MSRP not including a sale.

I say peanut brittle, but there probably are others that can give you better notes.

Seeing all the cigar bands under there is definitely very cool & made me start hoarding mine to possibly do something similar in the future.

Cam covers are from a 1982 Porsche 928.

Cigar stand is made from the cam and some other parts from the same engine and trans.

Thanks, I will pick one up in the near future!

Peanut brittle, I think that’s probably a great description. I definitely get that a bit on the standard 9 yr. However I’d call the finish “grassy” so I’m really hoping the extra 20pf will mask that a bit more with extra sweetness.

If you’re just starting out and want something very accessible as well as a great example of finer bourbons, I highly recommend Woodford Reserve Double Oak.

It’s easy to find, not too pricey, great for sipping neat, and fairly complex for getting into “tasting”. It’s far better than the standard woodford!
