Great dinner at home tonight. Crab cakes on citrus arugula with sautéed veggies and filet mignon.

Artichoke Ravioli with Chicken.

A pasta dish two nights in a row... Both nights we paired a wine that complemented the meal very well. Food/Wine and a relaxing night at home. Doesn't get much better than that!

True that! We love dinner at home. We both love to cook and with a wine cellar at home, dinner in is usually better than dinner out.

The Hulk spent the day cooking up Indian food for dinner. Mulligatawny Soup, Chicken Makhani on Basmati Rice, Mint Chutney, Tamarind Chutney, Naan and Pakora. Pretty darn tasty if I do say so myself.

Wine thread or dinner thread, can't decide. Put together some prime sirloin steaks, some just seared off the grill others seared then stir fried with snap peas, soy sauce and coconut oil. Ginger and lemon rice with a petite shirah to top it all off. Pretty amazing tastes for just making it up on the fly. My 50lb, 7 year old ate over 14 oz of that rare steak, she really loves her steak. :)

A Fantastic Birthday Dinner...

...at Aqua by Larbi at the Palmilla Resort, San José del Cabo.
After being driven down to the restaurant by 'golf' cart type vehicle..we were greeted by our hostess and seated for cocktails while our 'table' was being set up. I had my usual Bombay Safire Martini and my Mrs had a White Sand cocktail. Once seated at the C shaped seating under the lit umbrella overlooking the sea, we ordered. She, a vert nice Mexican Sav Blanc and I a red blend...both very nice. We each had the delicious Chicken totilia soup....excellent.! For our entres, she ordered the red snapper and I picked the seafood paella. Oh my God.. both were mouth watering...
The snapper done to perfection and my paella was fabulous with a lobster tail and large pieces of octopus, squid and more on the traditional saffron bed of rice. It was Delicious..to say the least. The atmosphere was very charming and romantic and the service impeccable. Outstanding!!
What a wonderful way to celebrate.... My Mrs outdid herself once again....
It was....awesome....
