That’s one of the best bourbons I’ve tried in a looooong time! Was fortuitous find a pour for $35 in Louisville. Would love to find a bottle even though MSRP is pretty steep

I'm going to a wedding in the spring & I need to bring a bottle of Bourbon as a gift to the groom. Can someone recommend a bottle in the $150ish ballpark? Bourbon isn't my drink of choice & I don't know a ton about it.

Blanton’s would make a great gift. It’s a fantastic bourbon and the bottle is display worthy! Though, like Rolex, one will usually have to pay over MSRP for it, if you can find it.

Technically a $65 bottle I would say $100 is average price.

It pains me to pay a mark up, even with someone else’s money. But if you have to, maybe EH Taylor or Bookers.
EHT and Blantons are both Buffalo Trace distillery stuff.
Bookers is limited releases throughout the year and from the Jim Beam distillery.

Personally, I would prefer single barrel, limited release, more point in time stuff than paying up for a name…but I get that it’s a gift sooo…

Might look for a bottle of Larceny Barrel Proof. The most recent, C923, is a good pick. Very good price point and you can find them. They are much better and enjoying some nice praise (if he knows it or looks it up)... :)
