I've mentioned APPS before and I finally initiated a position today on the large dip; able to get in at $24.

Great earnings this past Q with plenty of runway left.

Gotta love the volatility

As a long-term, no concerns. If you're in options, just make sure you're buying with far out expirations.

Agree with you on APPS. Looks to have lots of potential for growth.

Well KIRK has dropped 29% so far, on fairly high volume, after rallying about 10% Friday after hours. Both based on no news that I can find. Seems odd and random.

But it has already nicely recovered compared to a few days ago where it was as low as $72 per share. It's a mid-term play anyway!

Tend to agree with the author here - FB vs. CRM should have been the move into the DOW. Not really sure what moving HON in for RTX accomplishes either, but what do I know.

More info on the FSLY upgrade. Still continuing to accumulate shares in this and will be for awhile.

I like the new DOW changes, no FB should not be in the DOW. They are an advertising company.

CRM is a great choice given their reach across all business with their tools, RTX is no longer the same company since the merger, XOM is becoming irrelevant.

I don't disagree about XOM.

The RTX merger with United Tech and the consequent spinoff of Carrier and Otis actually makes Raytheon stronger, IMO. You now have a strong defense contractor with a large aerospace footprint while trimming the elevator / air conditioning components.

I figured we wouldn't agree on FB vs CRM though

Flat day, not much news, the split euphoria seems to be wearing off.

The next two weeks will likely be very quiet ahead of Labor Day, I am holding and doing research

The stock is undervalued and the dividend is safe. Beyond that I cannot think of any reason why I would want to own this company

Salesforce soars after raising full-year outlook, shaking off pandemic

https://seekingalpha.com/news/360874...g-off-pandemic

CRM just crushing expectations, sticking with my long term hold

Thoughts on Big Commerce (BigC)? Decided to buy a small 25 shares at $77 based on a rabbit hole of articles I read last week and it popped $28 a share today.

Is it in anyone’s portfolio? I’m a fan of e-commerce architecture and there may be a niche area for them to capitalize. Thinking of selling the rally but I have nightmares of when I sold 100 shares of Shopify for $90 a share after Andrew Left’s hit piece back in 2016 so I hesitate.

I would actually like some insight also. Looks appealing to jump in and see where this goes.

Have been watching since BIGC tripled at IPO.

My personal opinion only:

Overvalued here when you compare the financials to other e-commerce plays; I think part of the price action is due to the RH crowd speculating on the next big thing.

I've been watching because I'd like to add, but not after such a rocketship up right after IPO.

You all know I'm here for growth, but this one has just shot up too much, even for me. I'd like to see some quarterly results at the very least.

Staying long in AAPL. 5G on the rise, and I read somewhere that roughly 1/3 of Apple iPhone owners will need an upgrade in the next year or 2.

https://seekingalpha.com/article/437...tinues-to-soar

More SE here again - you guys already know my top growth vehicles (FSLY, SE, TDOC in place of LVGO and now add APPS to that), but I believe it's important to continue to share articles / updates on many of these stocks to keep us all in the know.

Continue to share, gents!

Agreed with this, not only the upgrade cycle and 5G but the service revenue keeps growing. I am hoping that the hot money sells after the split and I can buy back my last trim of shares.

While I agree with the underlying motivation for the AAPL upgrade (5G, sales etc), I firmly disagree with the actual price of the upgrade - a share price of $700 puts them at a cap of 3 trillion... not justified, no where close (and don’t believe their current 2.1 valuation is justified either)...

All that said, I’m a shareholder and if they want to give me $700/share by years end I’ll happily cash out.

I think Apple of one of those investments you usually buy and hold. Maybe add to the position when you can. I recently sold 2/5s of my eBay shares and bought more Amazon to balance my portfolio. 5G phones along with a smaller Overall case form factor will help. Now if they can hold on to their app biz w/o giving too much away (PR and revenue-wise). Epic Games is really making a mess for Apple.

For the foreseeable future I’m still bullish on DraftKings due to their fantasy sports biz (over the online gambling aspect. Sportsbooks don’t always make a annual profit ). Obviously, this stock is a buy and hold throughout the pandemic unless you can sell at a profit to buy more at a lower cost. COVID-19 just makes this such a risky stock since the NFL's indirect participation is massive. Then there is the end user fantasy sports tax possibly issue but they can weather that.

Despite rising in price over the last month, BUD and TAP are still solid buys for the long term.

I do not disagree.

Just remember where the markets are concerned, everything overshoots to either side.

Stay focused and stick with your discipline

Discipline is key. Easier said than done but 100% required. A little luck is also nice :)
