Thanks, Brian. I love this latest version of the California, the 424. There was the 448 a few years ago, with blued hands, no logo on dial, and plexi crystal. But this one is my favorite. I recently acquired a black calf leather strap from the Boutique, just thinking that might dress it up a bit. And it did just that. Although the Panerai is not a dress watch, this strap makes is quite a bit dressier. Just a few pics to show you the versatility:

The first time I have had this much success with a strap change. This really does make it as though I have two different watches now.

Not that I am trying to be an enabler or anything!!

Cheers,
Carl

Well, anything I can do to help!

To be honest, I have never owned a watch that has literally become two watches with only a strap change. I absolutely love the 424 California with all the strap options.

Last week, I was considering getting a new Radiomir 3 Days Logo PAM 753 model. Retail is $5100CAD. And also under consideration a Radiomir 8 Days PAM 610, both 45mm, and they seem a bit dressier. Just for a change from the casual look. Anyway, I got the idea for the black leather from a Panerai 1940 3 Days Oro Rosso 42mm, which they have at the Boutique and it is very stunning. I have 3 gold watches, and really don't wear gold that much, and I just don't have 25 grand at the moment burning a hole in my pocket. But I do have to admit this is one sexy looking watch:

Awesome model and strap combination! Local Boutique still has that model, but with the dark dial. I have yet to see one in real life with the light dial. Stunning!
