Datejust
It's a 1966/1967 Datejust. Gift from a friend. Not exactly sure of the model. It has the "hack" feature but the date has to be changed by rotating the minute hand.
After I had it fully overhauled and a new main spring, it keeps perfect time. Very impressive. I think the 16030 came out around 1983 or so. Cheers Imtiaz |

Hi!
I'm 36 years old, and I work as a manager for a media company. I got married last year, and my wife and I are expecting our first child in a few months. So 2009 is going to be a big one! I own a vintage 1960 Oysterdate Precision, manual movement. Other watches I own include a Tag Heuer 2000 series automatic and a Montblanc Gilt SS quartz. The Rolex belonged to my father, and he wore it when I was born. I plan to wear it when my son is born too. I plan to hand it down to my son when he's ready. I hope he too can carry on our little tradition! |

I'm 47, but don't look a day over 46! After flying in the Navy for 12 years I went back in to industry of my degree (Engineering) and work as an Engineer for Sony... it's a real small company, kind of a start-up. Anyone hear of it?

Hello everyone,
I'm 45 and have been a member of this forum going on three years now. Have been in the U.S Army for a little over 23 years and currently fly UH-60 Blackhawks. I have many watches, both wrist and pocket. My Rolex which is pretty much my daily wearer is a 1980 vintage GMT-Master ref. 16750.

32 year old, radiotherapy systems enigineer working in an Oncology centre in Edinburgh Scotland. I currently have a Sub LV purchased last march. On a waiting list for a GV and still toying with the idea od picking up a 1998 DJ from a retailer here in Edinurgh. I caught the Rolex bug about five years ago. My ex- gave me her late fathers 1976 DJ to wear and promptly took it back when we split up. I vowed at that point to get my own.
Take care folks and have a nice day all! Willie |
