We have a couple 13s, I can not imagine waiting another 10 years!

How was it? When I last visited their vineyard, our guide was saying he usually holds / waits 15 years. That takes patience!

It’s been sitting, wondering if it’s been too long. I always hear champagne tends to diminish after 15 years. Was curious if anyone has opened an 02 up recently.

Not at all, champagne is worthy of years and years of cellar aging, though I wouldn't store any champagne in a food refrigerator for very long. Should only be put there if you are going to drink it in the near future. That said a premium vintage champagne like Cristal can be aged for decades.

A wonderful wine from the Pyrenees area in Victoria, lying North-West of Melbourne at the Southern end of the Great Dividing Range.
An attractive bouquet of fragrant red berry fruit with touches of mint and French oak.
A description off a retail site says:
A generous mouthful of ripe dark berries complemented by forest flavours of eucalypt, mint leaves, earth and cedary oak. Full-bodied with classical Cabernet Sauvignon structure and abundant fine grain tannins, which contribute to an elegant, persistent finish characterised by lingering chocolate flavours.
I agree with all of that. A lovely quality aged Cab Sav.

Would love to know what you thought of these and the difference between the two bottles. While a great wine of course I find Opus to be very not worth the money but I've only had much younger bottles.

hate to be the stick in the mud but while I appreciate comfy shoes, putting your feet on the wall or barrier is not advisable or cool. JMHO

LOL, yea just slight step down. Not bad for a free bee. I'm a Delta guy and they have one atrocious but one decent wine. I forget the names so it's always a 50/50!

Not a bad way to wrap up the weekend. Young and “lower end” Chappallet, but still drinks very well!

I buy these by the mixed case and keep them stocked at the house. Loire valley sparkling that punches well above its weight class. $15/$16 per bottle before the case discount. Drinks on par with a $40-$60 Champaign IMHO
